+Tommy Petersen Elvis did make up part of their Million Dollar Quartet, so they had sung together already. But it is bad that they couldn't make anymore music together-and it was probably beyond beautiful music!
@daveheidecker32097 жыл бұрын
+Tommy Petersen, This is from a live concert performed in 1981 or 1982 in Stuttgart, Germany. There is an album, listed under the title "The Survivors" in reference to The Million Dollar Quartet of Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley. Johnny was performing solo, and Jerry and Carl "happened" to drop by and join in. As near as I can tell, this performance was unplanned, and unrehearsed.Toward the end of the performance, they perform "Peace In The Valley" as a tribute to Elvis, followed by "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" and "I Saw the Light". Almost all of the songs on the album are available on youtube, if you search under "Survivors" or the individual artists. There are a few videos, like this one, that are floating around as well. These are all worth searching for. I have the album (vinyl) and it is one of my favorites. Good hunting!

I'm not sure about Carl Perkins, but Johnny and JLL did every drug known to man, and did a lot of women, too. And here they are singing gospel. I am NOT criticizing, those 2 are actually my favorite, even over Elvis. I just think it's interesting that perhaps as they got older, their eventual mortality probably started to weigh on them. People seem to chill as they get older. They also grew up singing gospel. But as the great JLL once said, "If I'm going to hell, I'm going playin a pianah." I've seen that old man live 3 times, and got to dance with my dad. He always played Jerry Lee records when I was growing up.

this was just a few months before jerry lee almost died from a stomach ulcer that ruptured..When that happened, they gave him less than 5% chance of survival, that was in 1981, but of course, here we are in 2021, and the Killer is still with us.....If you think that he was pale in his face, yeah, of course he was---the man was dying and didnt know it at the time.....
