As someone who knows too much about DV, it saddened me that someone appeared to use that argument in a false manner, and made it possibly more likely for a real victim to not be believed.

I agree, I believe this is exactly why so many women responded to this case the way they did - angrily - and it was so frustrating to see their reaction dismissed and disregarded as 'giddy women' fawning over some male actor. The irony.

I had forgotten how incredibly bad her acting was…the sad thing is that this case will have a negative effect on both of them forever. He’ll do better than her but seriously Amber, was it really worth it? For those of us who have been truly abused, people like Ms Heard have done so much damage. This trial wasn't a battle between good and evil. It was a slap fight between two rich assholes with a jury to decide who was the bigger asshole. Recall they even dinged him with damages. He only had to pay nothing because her damages covered his and more.

In 2013, Johnny personally told my niece he would help her group raise money for homeless, abused mothers with children. He visited the group home, signed autographs, talked about deadbeat fathers, little about his childhood, even offered help to several Moms for continued education & donated 250k b4 he left. He came with 2 other gentleman, no big celebrity stuff, I had my walker at the time he sat down & talked to me for about 15 min. He is a few yrs younger than me, I told him He is a handsome guy but I only thought he was sexy in his pirate get up! He started laughing & gave me a kiss on the cheek, wished me well. He has a very kind heart, especially remembering hearing him talk that day, I can NEVER imagine him doing what Amber accused him of. I feel she used or tried to use him for her career & money. How awful of a human that woman is, Especially to real victims of DV.

Exactly. I’m a survivor, just about. I commented about my experience in the comment section. She speaks for no. 1, certainly doesn’t speak for our DV community. She should be ashamed of herself. It’s got nothing to do with the fact JD is a male. IF she’d proved 100% he was an abuser, I’d defend her. But she was more focussed on taking pics of him messed up on drink & drugs than actual DV proof. The 1 show she did, where she said make up covered her face, James corden show, you can quite clearly see her face is immaculate. I couldn’t use make up to disguise black eyes, broken nose, split lips and more. No way. Swelling, disfigurement, bruising and so forth. She’s disgusting. So many lies were proven.

He did abuser her. There was an email from 2013 that she wrote talking about being hit by Johnny. There are many texts associated with the kicking incident, apart from the mention and implicit acknowledgement by Depp in the audio that he kicked her. It happened. If that happened, one can wonder what else did he do. One was the Stephen Deuters kick text where Deuters said that he would tell Johnny he kicked her, the next was Johnny Depp apologizing after being told, and the other was Johnny admitting to acting out to Paul Bettany, saying that he had attacked her with little instigation from her side.

He never lost his life you moron. Everything that happened to him was of his own doing. Months after she made her allegations, he was getting appearances on talk shows, winning awards, and promoting Pirates of the Caribbean. He got cast in many movies, he got cast in the Fantastic Beasts franchise which he then lost after he brought a lawsuit against a tabloid for calling him a wife beater and lost. Amber wasn't the reason he didn't get another shot at POTC, that was him. Amber wasn't the reason he had a long string of box office flops, Amber wasn't the reason he mismanaged his money. It was embarrassing to watch her testify about the physical assault. There’s no way any woman who had supposedly been r*ped with a bottle, wouldn’t have attended hospital. Absolutely no way! Especially someone as vain and self serving as amber heard. The overacting was off the charts. I’m glad she got her comeuppance. I don’t agree with the amount of serious abuse she got on social media, it was over the top, but she definitely brought this upon herself. Netflix narrative was very slanted in favour of amber heard, it was heavily edited and skewed.

As a survivor of horrific DV, I was $tabbed, assaulted physically & mentally, isolated, burnt with cigarette ends, and more. THIS WOMAN does not speak for me. It’s got nothing to do with the fact it’s “Johnny Depp”. It’s about facts, evidence, proof and reality. When I had to attend court, I couldn’t look at my ex. I couldn’t even look at the jury or judge. It was horrendous. I know lawyers have a job to do, but even my ex solicitor didn’t try to embarrass, ridicule or insult me. Obviously I only had photos/medical reports/police reports and a few witnesses. I didn’t have audio. Audio wasn’t really a thing back in 90s. It’s evident, AH is a manipulative, narcissistic lying, attention seeking woman. She should be ashamed of herself, using DV community for her own sake. Admittedly JD is no Angel. But photos of a wrecked addict were more important to her, than actual DV evidence etc. Sorry, but in my opinion, due to personal experience, I don’t believe half of what she says.
@redleader4277
@redleader4277 Ай бұрын
A Court of law in the United Kingdom already vindicated her claims of being violently abused. The only reason Depp got away with it in America was he had so much medical evidence excluded on hearsay grounds, and that jury was full of idiots who had no understanding of domestic abuse. I can also bet your court case was never televised for millions to watch, with people making a fortune off of lying about you, inventing the most insane conspiracy theories out there, and bringing up fraudulent body language experts to dissect why every facial expression and body movement is actually proof that you're a deceitful liar. Your courtroom wasn't filled with supporters of the man who abused you, you also probably didn't have to enter and leave a court with 100s of fans of your abuser, yelling abuse at you. She had evidence, she had photos, she had audio recordings of him either admitting to or not denying her violence claims, and she had over 10 different witnesses who witnessed her bruises and injuries first-hand. Still, people chose to believe a man with a long history of volatile and violent behaviour couldn't possibly have abused her.

A story about a golddigging narcissist who started abusing her older husband because she wasn't getting the attention she wanted. I am an abuse and SA survivor and I honestly think that Amber Heard is one of the most disgusting humans ever. Just the fact that she thought that she could just step up and represent actual abuse victims and survivors is appalling. The fact that she actually self-snitched about why she really wrote the article. Then even after she snitched on herself, she still continues to double and triple down on her lies. Bringing up Kate Moss was a huge mistake for Amber and I'm sure Elaine was like "oh f**k!!!" Kate put Amber in her place very quickly and there was nothing Elaine could do. The worst part was her acting and all the fake abuse photos. Her descriptions of all the "abuse" was just unbelieveable. Anyone who has ever experienced physical abuse knows that there would be severe injuries from the "abuse" that she says she experienced. I mean getting punched in the face with a "fistful of rings" would result in broken bones in the face, severe lacerations, extreme bruising, severe swelling, etc. She had none of that. None. Then for her to say that she used ice to get rid of bruises as it bruises would just disappear overnight. Lets not forget the "Amica" cream. Also, being raped by a broken wine bottle or just a regular wine bottle would cause extreme internal injuries and she would've been hospitalized. Then she had perfectly straight cuts on her arms from "crawling through broken glass" only proved that she cut her own arm to promote her narrative. Amber actually had a bruise kit used to create the bruise on her face, the bruise that TMZ caught on camera outside the courthouse. She gave TMZ the heads up about what was going on. She told them to focus on one side of her face which is where she strategically painted on her fake bruise.

@@kathypetty9658 Her non-existent tears and claims that women are not physically strong enough to harm males have set back the world so far. As if she wasn't already aware how difficult it was for male victims to receive help, and for female victims to be believed, only for her to make it ten times worse. I got called a right-winger the other day for sticking up for male abuse victims in a comment section... I'm actually very left-leaning, bisexual, my best friend is trans, but yet I'm not allowed to stick up for male victims of female abuse anymore (despite my own brother being one) because Heard tried as hard as she could to make it a political thing to disagree with her. She's the one who "fell" for Elon Musk, the most right-wing man on the internet currently, pretty sure they claimed to have bonded over right-wing literature as well. If you read what Heard says in interviews before the trial, it's very clear that she's always been way more right-wing minded than what she portrays to the media these days. "Women should take their husband's boots off for them, make them a drink, be submissive in bed, women can't physically hurt men we're too weak and frail and helpless" blah blah blah.

The first time I saw the rum diary, before they were even known to be in a relationship, the only impression Amber Heard (or her character I suppose) made on me was I remember half way through the film finding it strange that she turned out to be one of the good characters. There was just something about her that made it difficult to believe she wasn't a villain, in fact in a weird way the whole film is a little off because of it, it just doesn't quite work. Her true nature shines through even when she's playing a "goody".

As a dv survivor myself, who ACTUALLY went through many of the things she claimed she went through, it completely sickened me that she tried to use our horrific experiences for her own personal gain! She trivialized the life long trauma we deal with! It’s disgusting, vile and cruel on such an unfathomable level! The joy I felt when Johnny won and was vindicated is truly unexplainable! In many ways it was a huge step forward for REAL survivors/victims! It proved that DV knows no gender and shows no bias! But, at the same time she also created a major obstacle for us with her lies! While most of us have some sort of tangible proof from actual police reports and real medical records to real witnesses, real photos, texts, voicemails, etc… I mean, I was in my abusive relationship when I was 19-22 and that was back in 2005 and I STILL have actual proof… she still created an environment where actual victims may not be believed! Yes, allegations should be able to stand up to scrutiny, but she made the journey for justice a lot harder for real victims but… not impossible! So, if you’re on that path and seeking justice, keep fighting!

Let's be clear about one thing. She was never a star or an up and comer or whatever it was they called her. She only became famous by association, Johnny Depp "bought" her, her career. Her second acclaim to fame was her lies, abuse of him and divorce, oh and hiding behind the MeToo movement. Her third acclaim was defecating in his bed, which is impressive because that's the only thing she made all her own~ And aside from her piggybacking affairs and leeching off other famous people, her attempt at a comeback in Spain, and her surely piss-poor attempt at writing a Tell-All book about her "trauma" (which will also damage actual real survivors in the process), she can crawl back into obscurity.
