I HAVE ALWAYS SAID THAT BOTH JOHNNY TILLOTSON AND AL MARTINO WERE THE GREATEST COUNTRY MUSIC SUPER-STARS THAT NEVER WERE, BASED ON THE FACT OF HOW WELL THEY BOTH INTERPRETED COUNTRY SONGS AS WELL AS ANYBODY, JOHNNY OF COURSE HAVING RECORDED MANY MORE THAN AL, BUT AL NAILED THE GENRE JUST AS WELL.
