God I love this game. I'm surprised you had trouble with the Gum Monster, I never even knew you COULD lose to it. @phoenixwright7844 жыл бұрын
I feel like most people that don't like this game are playing it wrong. There's a reason why the game feels like a classic cartoon, why there's so much detail put into Pac-man's over the top emotional reactions, and why your main form of controlling the character is by using a slingshot to pelt him and the things around him with rocks. If you go into the game not with the goal of trying to beat it but with the goal of finding as many ways as possible to make Pac-man's life Hell, I think you'll have a more entertaining time with the game.

@@DirectorOfChaos9292 Depends on his mood and how you do it. You may have to have him look down to get him to notice a hazard, or you may have to piss him off to make him take out his anger on something. Yeah, that playstyle isn't for everybody, especially for someone like Johnny who seems to play games mainly to unwind and thus doesn't want to futz with weird systems, but there's room for all sorts of games. This one's clearly supposed to be more passive. If you understand that and go more slowly and methodically, you'll eventually get it.

If you’re going to do more Pac Man games, I recommend you do the Pac Man World series. I think if this game wasn’t called Pac-Man 2. I think Pac-Man’s Pac-venture would’ve made sense considering it’s an adventure game. Anyways, I think there was a missed opportunity for Namco to remake it on DS. Maybe use the touchscreen as an equivalent to the sling slot. Hell they should’ve remake Pac-Man World for the DS instead of the GBA considering the DS could handle a remake of Super Mario 64 that added more content. Sure they’ll have to sequence the music to have it fit but I’m sure that the DS could handle the game.

I had the Genesis version of this game. Don't remember why my mom said she thought I'd like it but...yeah. The animations were great and some of Pac-Man's reactions were funny but I spent way too much time trying to figure some of the puzzles out. The guard outside the factory in the 3rd mission particularly. EDIT: I forgot to mention the box for the Super Nintendo version was one of those things where the images changed if you looked at it from different angles. Can't remember what the name of these was, but it showed a short visual of Pac-Man starting off running with the hang glider with that cheerful look, then as you tilted the box to the side he jumped off and started gliding with that terrified look on his face.

One of the games I got with my SNES as a kid; really only ever played it to play the original Pac-Man at the arcade, which you can actually do right from the beginning, you don't need to get to the fourth mission.
