Hi Johnny. I'm in Canada and when I try to purchase it, it keeps saying something wrong with the address and doesn't let me purchase it. Since it's an e-book why would it matter about my address. Can you clarify?

Thanks Johnny. I ended up using Apple pay and it worked. Looks great. We got snow here in Canada on April 19 and with a new grill waiting to be used I'm super anxious. I'll check out your book and be ready when I can hit the griddle.

People with a narcissistic and self aggrandizing personality gravitate toward management positions. They love to hear themselves talk and think every word is pivotal on the success of whoever and whatever they manage. Truth is... about 5% to 10% is worth a $hit the rest is their self inflating ego. This is just the facts of living in a cubicle farm.

Ik this is an old video. But it still taught me stuff I had questions about. It took so much convincing to get my wife to get me an infrared thermometer. But I have so many different ones. Mostly for smoking meat. Since I usually smoke to temperature and not time. I have an instant read I use constantly. But the infrared is a must for cooking on a griddle. Very greatful she got it for me. But again. Knocked it out of the park. I hope to buy your ebook soon. I already have the free on on my phone. Thanks for the awesome vid brother. ❤🎉😊

Thanks Tom I'm so glad you like the videos and I appreciate you watching. Yes the cleaning and seasoning is an extra step that a traditional grill doesn't have. It's not too complicated or time consuming but it is a little more. And obviously I'm biased bc I have a KZbin channel about griddling lol If you want to start small so it's a little less money just in case he doesn't like it I'd recommend a 2 burner Blackstone. Mine is the "adventure ready which can fold up and fit in a trunk or you could stash it in a garage without taking up a ton of space. That might be a better option for him. If he doesn't like it then at least it doesn't have to sit on his deck or patio year round.

I got the $30 lodge cast iron griddle for my birthday last week and I still used most of your videos to help! I seasoned it only once and I made some onion smash burgers.

Awesome! I have a lodge as well that's what I used before I bought a big outdoor one. It works out great, I bet your onion burgers were awesome. Thanks for watching.

Congratulations on the new griddle!! That's exciting cooking with your 15 year old. My son is only 1 and I can't wait to cook on the griddle with him. Ham and cheese sounds delicious, put some mustard on mine 😂

I just realized I had already all the accessories but I didn’t have a griddle….I even had the thermometer that we bought for the pandemic …so now that I bought the griddle today ( from sam’s club for $ 79) it is time to cook…the hardest thing to cook on a griddle most likely it would be eggs…I cooked hundreds and hundreds of eggs on different griddles until I was sick of it….yes that is what you do when you work the egg station in a restaurant…as far as the temperature on your griddle you have to learn where is your hot side and your warm side as you cook on it…I never used a thermometer in connection with a griddle in fact I never thought about connecting the two…bacon fat will season a griddle real good…

I did 5 coats on mine to season it... Mostly because I was waiting for the meat to finish marinating, and I did have plenty of beer so I was covered from that angle as well.
@JohnnyBrunet2 жыл бұрын
Haha glad you had plenty of beer for all 5 coats. Sounds like a good day to me, what meat where you cooking?

My first cook was teriyaki chicken, just marinated some chicken thighs in some store bought sauce. Also sautéed some zucchini, onions, yellow squash, grape tomatoes and red pepper (all from my garden) to go with it. It all turned out great. Cooking breakfast on it is a big hit with the wife. I aways start with some frozen, diced potatoes and go from there. The bacon turns out really good on the griddle as well.
@JohnnyBrunet2 жыл бұрын
@@pville_piper5125 that's a great meal with the chicken. And that's super cool that you grew all those veggies yourself. I am just not patient and reliable enough for a garden but maybe one day. Ya I agree about the bacon it turns out great! I don't know what my wife likes better the bacon or the fact that all the grease is outside and not in the kitchen. 😁

You're the best, thanks for the share about your passion. I like the "organic" side of griddling that the first thing you do is Christen it and make it look not new. It is now yours. Not too many things in the digital age take breaking in. To season I started with canola oil because I had about 4-5 tablespoons left and wanted to use that up. After 2 cycles with that, I started using bacon strips, one at a time - the best griddle barometer I know of. I swished the slice around with the heat full bore. The first slice of bacon would have been inedible unless you came out of the woods starved for a week. I kept cycling thru bacon slices until it didn't stick anymore and sizzled like it should. It took me about 5-6 slices to get to a point where the bacon strip wasn't coming out all mangled and kind of sooty. I have a 17" portable griddle as my 90% goto cooking apparatus. As I got near the point of it almost being seasoned, I started testing with eggs. Just like the bacon, the first one stuck really bad to the griddle, and after about 4 more sacrificial eggs, I threw a little butter down and the egg danced like it should. So my test looks for the first edible bacon or egg come off, time to eat.

You're welcome thanks so much for watching and for the tips. Ya after I do a few coats of oil I like them throw down some bacon as well. That's always a good way to get your griddle ready to go.
