To be around such a person elevates the spirit. We should try as much as possible, given the special DNA we've been given, to perceive the world as warm as Betty White saw it.
@catlady8622 жыл бұрын
I wish i could percieve the world like that, but the world is not as warm as Betty White saw it. When i came on KZbin this morning, the first thing they showed me were some animals (evil heartless people) hitting poor, defenseless kangaroos to death on the sides of their trucks and hanging them on hooks on a car, straight trough the back, while they were still very much alive ffs!! What's wrong with the fairytale world Betty seemed to believe in? Well, i can tell you... It's in the hands of the evil one (1 John 5:19) and that means there is nothing warm, cosy, cute or sweet about this world.

Its amazing she has been on TV since the initial focus group testing to figure out if people would want to watch content on a screen. She also was a civil rights advocate without even intending to. She was told she needed to reduce the screen time given to a black entertainer. She responded that he was talented and his color didn't matter. They would have to get rid of her if they wanted to reduce his exposure. The career this woman had is beyond what anyone has experienced in one lifetime in any industry. Absolutely amazing person.

Gosh I get so tired of reading dumb comments like yours. I don't mind reminiscing but seriously, Jay Leno WAS host of the Tonight Show for years and was just as funny and Betty White was the Betty White of old. Stop saying dumb s**t like, "this was when...". You obviously haven't seen much classic TV. Try looking up some of the out takes from the Carol Burnett show. Find the one where Vicki Lawrence was playing mama, Dick Van Dyke and Carol Burnett were trying to keep a straight face while Tim Conway went off-script about the two elephants. Or, all the appearances on the Tonight show by Richard Pryor, Steve Martin, Robin Williams, Dana Carey, Garry Shandling, David Brenner, Jerry Seinfeld, Bob Newhart and Eddie Murphy. This clip is tame compared to some and of course, Don Rickles was always a favorite of Johnny Carson.

Betty White was the antithesis of what most people think of as the stereotyped 'vacuous' Hollywood actress/comedienne throughout the decades, and her multifaceted talent in the arena of 'double entendre' has been rarely surpassed, especially in the series, The Golden Girls. We could watch her on the game show, Password, with her late husband, Allen Ludden, and see that she was definitely not a shallow or superficial human being. Personality plus.

I think the key is that Johnny clearly never thought of himself as the star of the program. He was the MC, whose job was to make each guest shine, and do the best the guest was able to do. Each has so much to offer the other. Somehow I suspect, sharing off a loved one, either Son or husband seems difficult these days!! Interestingly, but not sure it's good for future generations.🌷😎🇩🇰🇺🇸😍🌅🕊️
