Being incredibly intelligent, Johnny was rarely at a loss for words. On the rare occasions it happened his reactions were so funny. He obviously had strong feelings for Dyan.

Johnny maybe was successful but not a Cary Grant, not close, that’s who she married after Grant chasing her . Most men I think realize a smart, beautiful woman and react as Johnny did, she also mentioned she didn’t date/ live with anyone for quite a while. Wonder why? I guess she wasn’t a club 54 type!?

@@alanhigh8125 Read her book "Dear Carey" and you will see it wasn't the laughing that broke that marriage up, it was Grant's inability to adjust himself. Michal Douglas is lasting with Catherine Zeta-Jones because he is willing to adjust his ways in his senior years on behalf of the relationship, Carey wanted no part of that and punished her. Grant and Cannon should have never gotten married. She married for an iconic dream, he married for some older year action. It was Sinatra and Farrow all over again.

My mother went to a Dodgers game with my dad in the 60's and Cary Grant was there with Dyan Cannon. Cary Grant looked at my mom and asked if she was some Italian ambassador's daughter (my mom's Armenian). Dyan Cannon looked pissed. My dad said "no she's not" then looked away....awkward!!!

That was funny. A very good interview. Carson was the best, by far. If she is talking about Stanley Fimberg, that marriage lasted 6 years (1985 to 1991). She married Cary Grant in the 1960's, by the way.
