Lol that was me on the last part of the video 😅, Johnny was really nice in person! I'm from Chicago, and one of my bucket lists was to find him and be on one of his videos and now I'm on it 😎, cool eh!

5:06-There used to be a record store and a store that sold movie and TV on video here down this hall, back in the 1990's.

Hi Johnny. Great walk as always! It’s unbelievable that I was also just there but missed you by an hour. Was in the food court and at Metro most of the time but once again, amazing video!

Aww looks like you made that young man's day! Also, had no idea there was a public rooftop patio up there. I'll have to check it out.

Love your videos, I got to see a peek of one of my old regular haunts the Duke of Kent pub, good to see it's still going strong. I wonder if my other regular pub the Rose & Crown just north of Roehampton is still open?

Definitely deserve a least a like for being so kind to take a selfie with a fan of your content. Probably very expensive to live in that area especially over the mall. Hate to imagine the rent in the commercial spaces in places like the one you went to.

City needs to add some trees to the Y/E corner. Escalator near Metro used to lead to an Eaton's department store, Metro was a "Dominion" grocery store and a Radio Shack store was located where Best Buy is. The Food Court has many new food counters (an Orange Julius was there for many years), and the rooftop patio is a nice surprise.

wow all that road construcrtion is finally gone. Miss that large patio area on the NW corner of the intersection. Really miss the Pickle Barrel Restaurants, they only have them in the GTA

The third floor _used_ to have a Toys R' Us, but it's now gone.

kinda crazy how y+e centre still has the same layout on the inside that it did when I was a kid in the late 90's but looks completely different on the outside (along with everything else in the area). it does seem a lot more dead now tho, even though many more people are living nearby.
