I have one of these. Paid $160 for it with a coupon. It does what I need it to do, and it does it well. It runs my TV and soundbar in my RV, charges our phones and tablets. It supplements my RV solar system and I know it's limits. It also can go on our tent camping trips and provide power for our needs. It works well with my Ham Radio excursions. I have larger power stations and use them when needed. When this is all I need, I use it.

Yep, same here. I bought an expensive ecoflow river and it blew after 1 year and 1 week. Ecoflow has a one-year warranty and wouldn't honor their product even tho it wasn't my fault. The 5-year warranty is worth its weight in gold with this Predator unit. Its ALOT more durable too. The larger units will be out in January and I may buy one of those for larger wattage gadgets. I'm very happy with my unit.

I bought one of these today. I have the Bluetti 268Wh that I bought to have on hand for emergency power outages or when I am out working and need to be able to charge the batteries on my power tools. The only thing I dont really like about the Bluetti is how it feels like I could break it if I sneezed on it. I wanted something to take camping with me and the Predator feels much tougher and well built. I think its going to work out for my limited use case. 🍻

I appreciate all the information! I would like to add a little of my own experience if I may? I recently purchased this unit specifically as a backup power source for my CPAP. I use a ResMed Airsense 11. I do not use the humidity function, just air. I was able to get two 8 hour nights of sleep on a single charge using the 120v plug. At the end of the 2nd night, the unit was down to about 20% charge left and would not have made it a 3rd night, but this was adequate for my needs. You made a couple of references that this will not run a CPAP, i just wanted to share that i believe it will, at least under some circumstances! Thanks again for the review.

Interesting m. So you have a predator 350 power station ? What is the watt draw on your cpap? Is it relatively new? I know the newer ones seem to be getting more efficient.
@craigv5704
@craigv5704 Ай бұрын
@@johnnysweekends Yes, I just purchased the Predator 350 Power Station, just like the one you reviewed in this video. My AirSense 11 is a couple of years old. It is a little hard to tell the watt draw because it rapidly fluctuates with each breath in and out. It drops to roughly 7 watts breathing in and maybe as much as 25 watts on each breath out (or vice versa). This made the estimated run time a little hard for it to calculate. At the end of night one or 8 hours, it had 64% battery remaining and then at the end of night two, it had roughly 22% remaining. For me, this was exactly what I purchased it for. In the event of power failure at home, or if traveling by car, I can bring it along just in case as well to run a CPAP or anything else it is capable of. I am looking forward to Harbor Freight releasing the new matched solar panel to go with it. I am new to the power station world, but I have had Predator gas generators in the past and they are still running!
@minaatta1592
@minaatta1592 Ай бұрын
Agree, the the way CPAP works it pulses the power on and off in consistent base, so the power draw is not constant and that is why I also disagree with the video simulations for the CPAP expected runtime.

I just bought one of these. I’m thinking I can plug a battery directly up to this. I have a huge 12v lifepo4 battery that I bought and stuck in a trolling motor box for camping, it has a 12v socket and usb on it. I use a dc to dc charger for my cpap on it. It’ll run my cpap for probably 5-7 days. My guess is I can take the supplied solar 12v socket from the predator and plug it into by big 12v trolling motor battery and get crazy run time with this.

@@fuzz1500 harbor freight frequently sells branded products when they are testing a market. They don't know if they should put the time and effort into developing their own product, so they sell someone else's product. If it sells well enough to warrant developing their own in-house product, they do that and then stop selling the other one. If it doesn't, but there is enough demand to justify selling the product that currently are, they just do that.

Right down to the points review. Learned quite a bit. Thanks. I picked up one of these units, although my initial intention was to get a Jackery. However, trying to get one of them seemed impossible, especially if you're on a trip without current ship to address. Outfits like Lowe and Best Buy 'can get them for you, by a certain date'. You mentioned the ability to purchase the extended warranty and swap it out in-store during the coverage period, but having purchased two units already, I can tell you that at the moment, that is not an option: the cashier mentioned each time that no extended warranty was available, but that it does have a 5-year limited warranty. Of course they may change that in future, but as of yesterday no extended warranty is available. Considering, though, that they still don't have these on the shelf and they haven't received any planogram for these, it's possible they were rushed out in time for the holidays without all the extras in place in their systems. It's worth mentioning that today (12/15/'24) anyone can get 10% off (or Inside Track Club members can get 20%) off any single item such as this--just ask an employee to check the system and/or stockroom because you won't find them on the sales floor.

A word of caution, HB a lot of times DO NOT carry many of the parts on those parts lists. I once bought a compactor from them. I had to get some replacement parts for it. All they had available for parts was the throttle cable assembly, and nothing else. So you might be SOL if you need parts for this.

I have 4 100 ah lipo4 batteries in my truck for emergency operation. They charge from the 12v alternatior via the 12v to 12v charger. This would this make a link to use it and produce 110v and still be a 12v source? Or is it solely a stand alone?

huh, i made my own power station for 60 bucks. fits inside of a mini ammo can, and has 420wh of capacity, about double this. the 12v port is unregulated and runs a diesel heater just fine without issue. has 2 100w bidirectional charging ports, and its passivly cooled with big heat sinks inside. the top opens and you can store cables and a 100w 20v boost "car charger" plug so you can expand the ports available. all these power station brands are still using bottom tier cylendrical lfp cells. there is so much more you can do if you spend a couple extra dollars per cell and use 4x 32ah lifepo4 prismatic cells, theyre about 8usd each if you buy more than a couple of them. I use mine to power a heated blanket all night, or my 12v rice cooker/12v fridge when im camping in my car. can fast charge in about 2 hrs and the bidirectional usb-c ports work as somewhat efficient solar chargers from 2 of my 4$ 10w usb-c solar panels, which keeps it topped off. its crazy how much money you can save if you make things yourself and learn about elicitricty and buy the parts directly from china instead of scamazon. one of these powerstation things i have used for the last year and a half as the 12v battery in my phev. it saves about 50lb of weight and cost a fraction of the price. battery will probably last longer than I do.

Kudos to Harbor Freight for upping their game. It's great to see they've entered the market with a good all around unit. I do a lot of off grid solar and these small portable units are great to have, they're easy to carry and offer better functionality overall than large sketchy lithium ion battery banks. Additionally unlike some units that use lithium ion this has lifepo4 batteries, virtually 10 year plus lifespan to 80% dod, nice feature. The only negative is it's slightly higher price tag vs one's on that jungle place. However being able to buy it in person and having the excellent customer service of Harbor Freight spending a little extra goes a long way. I look forward to getting a couple of these.

While it looks like any other cheapie you could get off Amazon if you didn't want to spring for the bigger brands (who usually don't cost much more anyway), I'm loving the exploded diagram and (maybe) ability to get spares. What is this, the 70's? I didn't think things like that existed any more!

@@SOLDOZER you dont seem to understand the device I mentioned fills the same role, being light, being small, and being portable while offering much greater capacity and capability for a tiny amount more money, making it the significantly better value for the majority of the population. If you just enjoying spending more for less or just insist on hitting a very specific target size/weight then I guess this is a good option worthy of considering but there are smaller, lighter, cheaper options that offer the same or better specs. Super low WH aka Amp Hour battery,. A power source... such as a power bank in this price range should be no less then 50 amp hours . It is really not much use at 50mp hours, you really need a minimum of 100 amp hours in a small power station,,, and 200 watts worth of 100 watt solar panels... that's a nice little week end power source if you want to do a camping and or VanLife setup you need at least 4oo watts solar and a 300 amp hour battery.... supply at minimum.., and no not to run hot plates or ac units... for that you need at least 600 watts in panels and 500 amp hours lipof4s... You can run 12 volt DC fridge on a 100 amp hour if the fridge has an efficient compressor and insulation,,
