When I was at their concert in May, I bought 2 towels to swing with for Papaya 😂😂😂 The best thing about this performance was the Su turning around and thanking F. Hero, and the girls all bow to him in respect, with Su holding the bow until everyone else has straightened up. Our gracious Japanese Metal Queen. 😁🤘🦊🤘

Had the opportunity to see them live last year when they were touring with Sabaton (It was the second time they have performed in Finland), and OMG I loved them

Nice one, thanks! Yes, "PA PA YA!" is a summer festival fun song about a spicy Thai green salad. And It never fails to put you in a good mood then it's needed. And yes, it's a blast live! 😁 🤘🦊

Great reaction again. This was filmed on the second night in Yokohama at the start of their 2019 tour. F Hero flew in to Japan specially to perform on those first two nights. They performed in Bangkok in Thailand 4 or 5 months ago and F Hero made another special guest appearance. 'PA PA YA' is a summer festival song - and it is about a spicy green papaya fruit salad. F Hero was rapping in Thai to the same rhythm as mixing the ingredients for the salad with a mortar and pestle. They are pretty much saying that, much like the salad, mixing the right spices into life will make that better too. Did you remember to take (or buy) a towel to wave round your head for when they played this song when you saw them? Seeing everybody doing that makes Su, Moa and Momoko happy - and they deserve to always be happy. 🤘🦊🤘

_Matsuri da!_ 🦊🤘🍠 Cool you keep sharing more BM songs with your friend, remember this is a party festival song celebrating the mix of Thai and Japanese culture, just like a salad, in this case a Thai salad with the famous fruit ingredient. They played this yesterday at Oslo and also today at Stockholm doing the same setlist, you should watch Brand New Day, they brought back this beautiful song from Metal Galaxy and the girls look even more awesome with the high level performance on stage, especially SuMetal of course, singing and getting in sync with the choreo.❤ Kitsune up and see you next time John 🦊🤘🔥

That is the best version of PAPAYA ever recorded. The TRULY live version, not the redubbed one they claim is the live version (F hero sounds totally different in that version, like studio vocals over the BM live track). F Hero is an absolute beast. There is also a fancam out there of them recently performing with him again in Thailand when they went there earlier this year.

F hero is very big in Asia. He is extremely popular and the antithesis of what people may think is a rapper. He is a big family guy and really doesn't go for profanity, which is pretty good in my book. I remember when rap first came out and it was a lot of fun and actually had real music in it. The Sugar Hill Gang, Cypress Hill, Heavy D and the Boyz and similar artists. Then the west coast thugs got involved and that was the end of good rap. I love Su's death stare, which I believe really started at the Legend 1997 Apocalypse concert the day after Su's 16th birthday during Headbanger. I'm glad you had a great time. Going to Japan to see my favorite artists there on their home turf is on my bucket list. I hope I can make it happen. I'm 76 and starting to slow down a bit. But it didn't stop me from seeing Band Maid three times between October 2022 and May 2023, lol. Great job John, I really enjoy your reactions. I don't remember, but have you ever reacted to Wagakki Band ? If not, it would be the piece de resistance for Japanese groups. They are a true supergroup. They mix modern rock instruments with Japanese traditional instruments and have developed a signature sound that is like no other. And having perhaps the finest and most versatile vocalist on the planet in Yuko Suzuhana is just the icing on the cake. if you decide to react, do the two-song video for Homura + Akatsuki no Ito from the their first Japanese Tour in 2015. You will be amazed.

⚡ 💕 / 🌶 🌞 The supporting dancer ("avenger") in this video was Kano Fujihira. She only performed with BABYMETAL five times, including a MUSIC STATION TV performance. She was still only fourteen years old at this Yokohama Arena concert. Like Su and Moa before her, Kano was Sakura Gakuin President during her senior year in that group. She's now a member of the JPop unit @onefive, along with the three other Sakura Gakuin girls who graduated with her in late August of 2020.

Papaya as in the fruit. The artist F Hero is Thai and Papaya salad is one of the Thai's popular food dish. The gist of it LOL

I saw them @ Makuhari this Jan.. I did not have enough time to buy a towel, so I waved my muffler the entire time, jumping up and down. BABYMETAL fans' "WALL-TO-WALL" jumping is like no other.

It may be me, but I think both F. Hero and Su sound better live than in the studio recording of this song

I know Moa has stated before that she wants everyone to wave the towels, so you have to make her happy. Also Su's stares are so badass. I hope I can go to a Babymetal concert once in my life.

Ladies have 2 full weeks of Cardio workouts before a tour. I can believe it not to mention ladies abs must be ripped. Try running on a treadmill and performing at the same time lol. This s** blows me away and having seen them in Vegas myself over the summer can confirm this. Ladies are no joke and must run on pure adrenaline. Performance was epic and I also highly recommend Metal with Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine. They litterly dropped this hours before the start of their US tour over the summer. Which came out of nowhere and was easily one of their best singles to date. Love Pa Pa Ya as it really gets the crowd fired up & is such a classic performance now!! When in Thailand play this song & it will be instantly recognized. Most epic song about a fruit ever made!! 🤘🦊🔥

Hell yeah Nashville showed up. Made me kinda proud. My Babymetal suggestion for the next list would definitely be "Rondo of Nightmare" with the Mischief of metal gods intro. I really love watching the Kami band get their time to shine

Nice reaction. Buy it Bring it wear it. But when this song comes on YOU better swing it. After this show they said how much they enjoyed seeing the crowd waving the towels. And ever since then it happens everywhere they go. Such loyal fans. A hype song. All about going out to a music festival or wherever you might be and living you best life while doing it. Also, another song that explains why Babymetal have Doki Doki Mornings. Those music festival dances will get you. Metali Metali .Enjoy the journey through the foxhole and into the Babymetal galaxy of music.
