Nevermind - just learned that I'm required to be at least lvl. 50 in crafting and/or forging to get those tier bonuses. I thought that the level was just a suggestion, not a prerequisite.

A note about this method of overwriting weapons - when I tried to make a lower level long sword with the belzebuth the range on the new lower level sword was the same as the belz much to my disappointment haha

yep, you can only override once per piece of armor so its usually best to make the best armor you can then put it on something weaker.

Level 55 now and overriding works but my zwiheinder+ turns into a claymore. Same thing with spear and dual blades too, they have the look and name of the very first weapon but attack is 500+. I put the Dancing Slicer in front. Zwiender+ 2nd slot. The other slots are iron level 10. My turnip seeds are still level 8

John, another question please? Regarding the base materials for the base weapons (say, your Orochi and the Zweihaender): the materials for those do NOT need to be Lv.10 right? It's just that they need to be upgraded to Lv.10, then merged? Or does the weapon that's gonna be upgraded need to be made purely of Lv.10 materials (Say if it's a broadsword then the Iron required would need to be Lv.10)?

Kitbodee Siwaphirunthep if your just using the orochi and zwehiender to make the zwehiender+ then they only need to be lvl10, they don't have to have lvl10 materials added to them

Hmm....I'm a dual blade user though, so can you take me through this and see if I've got this right? So let's say I forged an Efreet then promptly upgraded it to Lv.10 (via non-Lv.10 materials), and this will be my overriding weapon. BUT I want to override the Short Dagger, and because it takes 2 Iron to forge one, that means that I would need the Efreet AND 2 Lv.10 Irons for this to work? And then fill up the 3 other slots with any other Lv.10 items?

I'm still having a hard time with this. I think I managed to get the override to work, because the Broadsword+ that I'm trying to make has the stats of the Gaia Sword that I used in the forging, and all of the items used were level 10. When I try and upgrade using all level 10 items, the level 10 Broadsword+ still doesn't get the tier 5 bonus - it's stuck at around 317 damage.

Does this method still work in the Rune Factory 4 special? I made a sword, raised it to level 10 and put it into the recipe of another sword with all level 10 materials, but nothing happened. My forging level is over 50. Anyone know why?

@@hollyholiday303 Yep, you need 150 total levels from both upgrading and forging in order to get the bonus. so 6 lvl 10 materials when making, then upgrade the new sword with 9 lvl 10 materials. This should give you the full bonus provided that you are lvl 50 in forging for weapons, or lvl 50 in crafting for armor/accessories.

I asked barter about the heart pendant I won and he said it was made with disasters dish and wine? It also looks like it's negative defense negative magic attack and lightning resolution which seems strange to me is that normal? I didn't do anything to the pendant

3 K Dmg is not that much. I do not have the strongest weapon yet but if you do the Sharance Maze and have Forging and Crafting Lv 99, you can craft legendary Weapons which has more Dmg than your 3 K Dmg Weapon. My Weapon does 12 K Dmg to enemies and I still do not have the strongest weapon. Another tipp is, use 10 Fold Steel and Double Steel do give your Weapon even more Dmg and Skills.

My forging is now 57 and I have lots of level 10 materials. I still cannot follow your directions because it gives me a failure every time. I put the strong sword in front, the weak sword in second, and then fill the rest of the slots with level 10 materials, like fur.

I know having better sickles ups your seeds' levels, what's the sickly you need to get lv 10 seeds. Mine only gets them to lv. 6

+Mimip18 i think you would need a gold sickle for lvl 10 seeds but having high quality soil also determines what level the seeds can grow to.

I have a question about some of the jewelry like the silver heart pendant it seems to make you less strong or a lesson certain things? Because I see a minus sign next to it what do you do with these items? Also when crafting assessor he's and getting the sword that you have there in the game what level is that at?

Blarg, sorry my phone sucks right now what I mean is the rings and the necklace is in the charms are those things that are added to weapons or to each other? If so why does for example the heart pendant have attributes that take away from your defenses or magic attacks as opposed to add to it? I've noticed some of the other weapons take points away from said skill sets as well does that make sense? I'm totally new to this type of gaming though love it I do find it challenging

making money is easy through cooking especially if you have a mixer. all you have to do is go to leon karnak and kill the pineapple monsters for their pineapples, then go back to town and put them in the mixer. it's worth a very good amount of money and is a great recovery tool for both hp and rp. about the other question, im still kinda confused but i think i might understand what your asking, tell me if what im about to explain isnt what you meant. accessory's effects can't be added to weapons, you can still add it to a weapon for levels but it won't benefit from anything. much like overriding for weapons, you can override accessory's to add the effects of one item to another (i.e movement speed of one accessory added to the heart pendant when crafting it) the only times i've seen an item that gives negative status effects is when you put an item that has negative effects into the crafting process. and no i dont think you are moving to fast, besides coming from experience, once you enter the third chapter, things will take awhile to accomplish unless you know what you are doing from the get go. took me a month or so to finish the last chapter on my first run through, but the speed of which you play the game is irrelevant as long as you are enjoying yourself, besides, even if you were worried about going through the story to fast this game has plenty of side quest to keep you preoccupied.

+belushes are you talking about what i used to cut down the turnip? thats a sickle and all you have to do is keep completing requests at the request box and they will eventually give you one

i dont get the tier bonuses. i already make weapon using all 10lv item and upgrading with 10lv ore. my zweihander+ only raise to 190ish attack (overiden with sea cutter).

yes, i mentioned it in the video. you need crafting above lvl 50 to get tier bonuses on armor and accessories and you need lvl 50 in forging to get the tier bonus in weapons

how can you ever achieve a tier 4 or tier 5 weapon? If level 10 is the max level of any one thing, how can you add 10 items of level "15" in order to make a tier 5 weapon?

Thoraxe555 it takes 6 items all level 10 to craft a weapon/armor and then you add 9 more lvl 10 items to the weapon/armor in upgrades

What exactly did you do during 3:30 to 3:37? You were making that zweihander+ sword which requires the base version and a piece of bronze. But you added the base version, another sword, and a bunch of turnip seeds? That's the part I don't get. Wouldn't that just result in a failure? You didn't even add the required materials for that recipe.

Alright cool. Well If you have the time read through this because I just attempted to make my first tier 5 test weapon ( a spear) and it didn't work. It wasn't even beyond tier 2. I don't know what I did wrong. First thing I did was make a strong-ish spear. A level 30 spear and then I threw a bunch of crap onto it until it was level 10 (I did not use level 10 items, I just used anything to get that first spear to 10). Next I went to make a low level spear to override. The first spear that only requires a piece of metal. I put in a level 10 piece of iron, the level 10 spear I made early for over-ride, and then filled in the rest of the slots with level 10 stuff I had in storage. The override did happen because the final product was a level 1 spear with the stats of the over-ride spear plus it had a tier 2 bonus. Next I started to upgrade the spear with various level 10 stuff I found in my storage, it was a mix of plants, wool and metals. But when my spear finally hit level 10 (every single piece upgrade I put into it was also level 10) it was still the same attack stat that it was at level 1. It didn't go beyond a tier 2. I can't tell what I did wrong. Can you see anything wrong there?

you can have longsword attack on a broadsword you just cant have accessory stats on armor, only the effects (up to three effects) as for which effects would be passed on, im not sure. never tried using diamond brooch to cross forge

Ok so overriding the best weapon onto something weaker is usually better because you can buff super hard by getting the rarity bonus. so in short if you have all of your items for crafting at lvl 10 and they were all level 15 rarity items then yes it would be better to override

I've been playing this for years. I bought it on 3DS immediately when it released in my area. Then, I played it again in switch. I feel stupid. Really stupid. I didn't know how it works. I'm sticking to the normal weapon till I found this 6 years old easy-to-understand tutorial video after years of playing. It's even much easier than using 10 fold steel. Where have I been all this time? 🥲
