Amazing job Trena! Being a woodworker, it's great seeing all the steps involved. I can tell in your voice that you take pride in your work and the joy when it comes out the way you wanted. It becomes personal when you bring each piece back to life. I restored a 1960 cradle that 8 siblings used. They cried when it came back to life for all their children to enjoy as a family heirloom.

My wife's gr. gr. Grandfather and gr. Grandfather were woodworkers and cabnet/furniture makers in Poland. She has the dinning set and China cabnet and a few other pieces she inherited. They are in great shape since we got them. A little TLC and lots of elbow grease later and we are always complimented at how wonderful they look. The grease Mark's for shipping furniture via ship are still on them and looking up ships logs from Poland tells the story and we hope someone in the family will want them to pass down again and again. She watches your repairs to all these antiques and wishes she lived near you so she could pic your brain! (Lol) very few people respect this furniture or even notice how much work and craftsmanship has gone into the making of these pieces. Good job and kudos for caring about your work. P.s. our furniture is about 200 years old! Still as sturdy and beautiful as it was made with a little added character through the many years!

Trena, please please use breathing apparatus,when spraying. It’s a requisite,when there is anything that can be inhaled. Other than that,yes a fantastic job. You are next level restoration specialist. Please use correct breathing apparatus. It is your health that is in jeopardy. I have seen and know vehicle sprayers with lung problems. Because they used to “ oh well I only have to do this small job” I think all of your subscribers would agree with me. Lovely work, I don’t even bother looking at other channels.

What an inspirational professional you truly are! I love your videos. Not only refinishing but repair AND build! I’m still working on my ugly duckling. I had to strip about 9 layers of polyurethane, at least 2 coats of white, 1-2 coats of a blue, 2+ coats of an off white….all on an old coated solid wood little cabinet which I will be using for a coffee bar. I’m old. 60+ but you are an inspiration that keeps me going. Thank you so much!

I bought a $10 Army surplus Duncan Phyfe desk couple of years back and if I'd known what a pain in the butt it was going to be refinishing it I would have paid them $50 to take it back...lol. Top coat was 1970's brown and green antiquing, then powder blue paint, chocolate brown paint, white paint, and the bottom layer was redwood stain on bare pine (permanent pink). No one had ever stripped it in between coats, just this old fool........lol......I was 66 then and started wondering if I'd live long enough to finish the project. I finally did finish it with multiple coats of walnut stain, but I feel your pain and I certainly appreciate the long hours and hard work this young lady puts into her craft.

You should get yourself a rubber stamp with your own design, then you could stamp your finished items. I have just got myself a rubber stamp of a paw print and from now on anything I do that can be stamped will be. You could have anything as your emblem. Using it will make it yours. Absolutely wonderful work on this cabinet. Never in a million years did I think you could get it looking like this. I would love to spend a few days working alongside you. We might both learn things. We would have a great time together I know that. Well done again.

This piece has the most interesting feet. To me it almost looks like a deer hoof. You did a fantastic job on them by recarving them to the original shape one would assume. Love your stress free patience you put into this work. I hope this paid of for you also in the way of pleasure and pride in this repair and refinish. Loved watching this video. I love the fact that you use proper techniques and tools to do your repairs and/or restorations. I strictly do restoration repairs with the goal of maintaining historical value and integrity so you won’t find many power tools in my shop, not a criticism by the way, I just don’t want to put modern tool marks on a 150-200 year old piece of furniture. I love the way you talk through the piece and don’t just jump into tearing it apart like so many people with KZbin channels do. By talking through and examining the piece you truly understand the problems and challenges and can plan out your repairs and that along with your well honed skills are the secret of your success. As a professional myself, I would trust you with some of my own treasures any day. Edit: just goes to prove you don’t have to be a grizzled, bearded old man to do beautiful skilled restoration work, a beautiful woman can do as good or better than any man can.

Glad the daughter wanted to have something of her fathers. So much history is thrown away or destroyed by "shabby stupid" designs but then again I have to think, at least it wasn't trashed. So I shut up lol. It is absolutely amazing what you have done. Have you ever thought of putting hours worked at the end of the job? I had a boss who complained too much at getting a teak cabinet restored that was her Grandmothers and I could not get it through her head the work involved, especially in the horrific condition it was in lol Some doctors might be smart enough to fix a hip but have no clue about wood and you think they would compare it as the same kind of surgery!!!

Absolutely beautiful but then that is your forte~! Just absolutely stunning. It was in pretty rough shape for sure. My older relatives when still living had items as such in their homes. I remember fabric being behind the decorative carving on the bottom for the music to come out of. It was like a loose weave and often had understated flecks of gold in it......very thin but very elegant looking to me as a child. On the top where the Victrola sat there were like springs underneath that you couldn't see but it supposedly took up the slack for any bumps or movement while the record play keeping it steady as it played the music. Not seen from the top but if you pushed on the Victrola you could see a bit of movement. I thought it was just elegant as a child and nothing has changed. You did an excellent job of repair on this. What a task......but I knew you could accomplish it if anyone could. I can't say enough about your work and expertise so I shall just say as always that it is just gorgeous. Who would not be proud to have that in there home to treasure from family from days gone by? Thank you for loving the pieces and how you let them leave the shop I don't know.......LOL However after you are finished I am sure you have had your fill of them. Have a beautiful week............

Beautifully done! I’m not sure if I could have come close to that level of work especially the carved feet. There was so much to be done!
