Hey buddy I bought one of your adaptors for a 1958 Evinrude Fast Twin 18HP. It arrived very quick and fit like a dream. Runs like the day it was made. Overhauled and repainted the motor did a carb kit, tune up etc. where did we go wrong? I pulled bolts out of the lower leg that had been in there for 65 Years and they looked the day they were put it. Why is our world so throw away now? Dumps and recycling centers full of cheap to make but not buy garbage. If we went back to the way, it was we would not have all these issues but some CEO or shareholder. Would lose the bonus and dividend cheque.

I have all the parts to bring that 10HP back to life if you care to .Gearcase,cover, lower pan, gear shift lever,front panel,pull starter etc. Dont know if your interested or not and I have quite a few of the stock fuel pump bypass covers Good video!

This plate is nice but not necessary to convert. I used a 1/8 NPT pipe tap directly into my stock ‘59 bypass plate. Threaded in a 3/16 barb fitting for the pulse line to fuel pump. Worked like a champ...you can see a vid of it running on my profile....

I have a 1959 Evinrude sportwin 10hp that was was previously converted with the omc bypass plate. But the the pump isn't working. I'm in the troubleshooting process now. And want to replace the fuel lines but can't find out the size or a good distribution site. Do you have any recommendations?

I have the same motor that I’m trying to get running. Mine has a fuel pump but it also has a glass primer bowl. Do I need the primer bulb?? I didn’t see one on yours

You don’t need it but if your carburetor has one, just leave it on to not cause issues

You actuality do not need your emergency rope you have. After you prime it just spin the top 3-4 times and she will start right up just by hand spinning it
