Brad, I love how you showed all the tools necessary before starting. Also, I can take stuff apart just like you, but where we differ is how to put it all back together. You are truly amazing to be able to do that. Great video. Thank you for sharing!

Big thank you. I am not engine guy, but this winter my blower died in middle of snow storm. Called a mobile mechanic who ended up scamming me and never fixed it. So after order a new carb 4 different times, (first 3 all were the wrong ones), I got It running this weekend. This video was a lifesaver, as I was just dealing with parts left from the scammer.

Thanks for sharing! I used pliers to take the hose off my carburetor and caused a leak! Had to cut shorter to adjust (be careful!). Mine won’t start 28” craftsmen snow blower). I was reluctant, but broke down the carburetor, cleaned it (as well as changing the oil), put it back together and it’s doing the same thing (won’t start just turns). I plan to take it apart again (4th time) to have a look again. In the meantime, I ordered a new carb from amazon. Still trying to figure this thing out! It’s been sitting for about 3 years. :)

Watch this video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jZuVZohqe6mJY5I. I know it is not the same machine but it may help you diagnose "why it will not start".

I have the same machine that I fixed for an elderly neighbor just yesterday. It sat for 5 yrs and the gas went BAD, I've never seen gas turn that shade of red!!. I took the carb apart and the tank off, got everything cleaned out and back together then started it and it runs great. 5 mins or so after shutting it down gas was leaking slowly out of the choke side of the carb. I'm thinking the bowl filled and leaked out ? Can you give me the part # of the float with the attached/captured needle? Would be grateful if you can help as the Web isnt helping, Thanks Johnsons Small Engines

As far as I know, you cannot get parts for the carburetor. You will need to replace the carburetor by looking up the parts online with the model number off of the sticker on the machine. Then google the part number for the carburetor for a new one. I do not know part numbers from the machines I work on because they come in to be repaired then back to the customer. If you cannot find them on your own. Call the company you purchased the machine from to see if they can direct you.

@@JohnsonsSmallEngines The leaking gas issue fixed itself, no more carb overflow. I guess something got seated by running it for a prolong period?. Thanks for the carb info Brad

@@5807141 Glad to hear but keep an eye on it. Sometimes like you said by running it may clean away a little dirt or residue on internal part and it gets better! Thank you for the update.

There is a rebuild kit you could get, but it's half the price of a new carb. here is the part number: 951-12762A
