It just depends on how long you have to spend on it and how much of the setup you have to do. Once you do one Ribbon Master, it's much easier to go through it with other Pokemon.

@@thomasc9248 The Wifi ribbon does not require others to be online. All you have to do is go there and fight the AI that has teams based on the last seven people to beat the Wifi tower. For every seven win streak you get a rank up, and if you lose, you just go down one rank. It's worth noting that you will not have to start over, unlike all the other Tower ventures. You repeat that until you reach rank five and you get the ribbon.

The way that the Wifi Tower works, you play singles 3v3 matches against other people's teams that they have uploaded to the servers. As long as you have access to public wifi or a WEP protected router, you can now access the Wifi Tower in its entirety. Years after this video dropped, every time I hear discussion about Pokemon Contests I still think about your Forretress prancing around on stage and using Explosion and the judges being like "Wow, that was beautiful!" after watching a rock bug knock itself out. I love Pokémon Contests! They have more depth than a lot of people give them credit for. They can be difficult, and fun. Gen 4 did well with contests, expanding on what was already established. I will say that the contests that ORAS has are much worse and too easy compared to gen 3 and gen 4. I hope that the gen 4 remakes do justice to how fun contests can be.

I loved gen 4 contests as a kid. I loved playing dress up games, so dressing up my pokémon was so fun. While gen 4 is probably my least favourite gen, if they implement contests with the dressing up portion again, that’ll probably be my incentive to buy it. PS: it was annoying to see people complain about no gen 4 remakes when Pokémon was on the 3ds. Now that it’s on the Switch it’s a sure thing, but you could have just played the originals on the same system they’d have been remade on!

FORRETRESS IS IN SCARLET/VIOLET, and there are 3 new ribbons to collect (one being inaccessible due to needing to surprise trade for it). I really hope you make a video continuing this through the new additions, the twinkling star ribbon from bdsp, the hisuian ribbon from taking a picture with the pokemon and the championship ribbon in scarlet/violet (excluding the rare surprise trade ribbon).

Love this video. Not only do I concur that ribbons are super underrated, but I also was curious about this myself. Obviously with victini being my favorite I wanted to get as many ribbons on my first ever OT victini. Unfortunately I cannot get anywhere near this many with it, for multiple reasons.

I love how these ribbons are being the display case of your Pokemon's achievements. I hope that in Sword and Shield we can achieve all the older ribbons as well, since there is no back and forth trading; once that ribbon Pokemon is in Ultra Sun, there's no going back to Red or what not.

I'm currently the process of making my own Ribbon Masters. It's a Shiny Togetic from Colosseum (now Togekiss) Edit: I'm done, took me 3 years. Though I noticed a few things wrong in the video -The challenge is actually called the Ribbon Master challenge -It's easier to go after the Battle Tower right after purifying -Wrong. Platinum doesn't have exclusive Ribbons. All Ribbon found in Platinum can be found in Diamond and Pearl. -The World Ability Ribbon doesn't require more than one player. -Technically if you are collecting the Leaf Crown you can also consider collecting the Pokeathlon Medals. -Collecting Ribbons in Gen 6 is a lot easier to do in ORAS. (excluding the Champion Ribbon found in X and Y) -You didn't recommend Bottle Caps as they are pretty useful.
