@@char1211Well silverback gorillas are all mature adult males, so in this game there essentially is four males in one enclosure. They are normally pretty dominant and aggressive towards other males and it would probably not be a great idea to put them all together in one place. Especially when there’s no females to make up a troop. There has been cases of bachelor groups being made in zoos but they are mostly made up of brothers that have been around each other since birth. Anyway 😂 this is what I remember from some random internet deep dives so take from it what you will.

I think John did do the right thing by putting meat out for the infected animal but when he used the dart gun to tranq him I think it angered him and caused another transformation cycle. But I find it interesting that after you feed the infected animal you can also cure them? I guess that stops any future transformations? Comment for developers: I think after the first transformation the phone in the train should ring with doc on the phone being notified that the alarm went off. The doc should then give the player some guidance on what to do. Too many players are confused on how to handle the game once the mutations start and I think this one addition would make a world of a difference.

"Cure the animals" means cure the ones infected with the parasites, too. He cured Chief but not the actual mutant. So yes, shooting Dexter reactivated the boss fight. Calming them with meat is so they don't kill any other animals while you make up the syrum.

Didn't John find a note earlier stating the cure for the parasites? I swear it said something along the lines of, "I figured it out! The cure for the parasites is [insert name here]. Just give the infected a dose of this and they'll be cured." Maybe because I'm not playing I can retain that information better?

If you watch the animals carefully, mutant animals will behave like they're sick, but the tests won't show it. At least, that's what it looks like from watching other youtubers. Seriously, this game would benefit from a better tutorial and a few nights just running through the process before the mutations start showing up. The pacing feels too fast with how many different things you have to do, so the player isn't scared just confused.

It seems like preparing the cursed meat buys you extra time, since the mutated animal will feed on that instead of it's roommates. But man, what an insane sequence and I'll admit I was not expecting this game to jumpscare me with the supply delivery. Quite enjoyable so far. I do feel like the menus are a bit excessive, and something about Doc's voice lines feel like they needed to be spaced out more, but there are worse problems a game could have. Totally nailed the atmosphere and I don't think I'll ever look at a zoo without thinking of this game

They almost certainly do not believe that is how actual zoos collect stool samples or feed their animals mystery meat. But the giraffe thing is borderline common knowledge, but could still be something someone didn't know. So it's is kinda in the middle there. I want to believe it's is intentional... I honestly felt a little horrified by it/that 😅😂

My one complaint about this game, is that the Doc's voicelines feel like they're edited too close together, not giving enough pauses in some of his dialogue. But that's a minor thing that doesn't really affect gameplay. That aside, they have some crazy designs in this game and I love it. It definitely feels like "The Thing, but in a zoo" where the animals are infected with transformative parasites.

But I think in moments like the puke scene where the character does an obvious immersion-breaking action (the game stops everything to make you experience it), it would feel more normal/realistic for him to have made a comment about it rather than just walking away like nothing happened.

I hate impatient people who won't let you take your time. It's just six sentences! The bonus scene you got was extreme but funny. I also like how it foreshadowed what was gonna happen later in the episode. Paul is so stupid. Meat that animals eat isn't always the same as meat humans eat. He had no idea what was being put in there, but thought it was a good idea to serve to his wife and sickly child? Shame on him, and his wife too, for agreeing to take that after the company had already been acting really suspicious. I bet Lily and Gina will become monsters at the end.

Pissing off the Doc into sedating and turning you into zoo meat was not the secret ending I was expecting from this game. Heard some issues with this game according to the Steam reviews. Here's hoping that's not the case because the premise of mutating zoo animals is very promising.

This game has potential but it needs to make the directions juuust a little bit more clear so everyone isn't fumbling around for how to do something. Either have a handbook to read about the illnesses or have a more involved walk through.

This is a cool concept for a game and the animal stuff is really neat, but I almost think it'd be better without some of the story stuff. Like if they just threw you in and the story was more subtle. Mainly the main character's reactions to stuff and actions are kind of odd. I almost think it would have benefited from not having a voiced protagonist or other characters present (sort of like Subnautica or Portal or something similar) so that when really messed up stuff happens it's less weird when he doesn't react or has a very mild reaction.

yeah, I think it would have way more impact if the character was just used to it all and so the game guides you through your "typical" night zoo shift and it's on the player themselves to slowly realize that shits fcked up and the person you're playing is an emotionless psychopath lolll that could also incorporate some fun "normalization" tactics, like the game UI just calls the infected animals "sick" and it doesn't differentiate between the normal sickness and parasite infection and it's up to the player to differentiate them, and the sudden appearance of the infected animal would be way more shocking and scary without being basically spoonfed the fact that they exist and will need human meat and so are obviously monstrous.

Your gorilla story reminded me of this.. Went to our local zoo over the summer and had a crazy encounter where the lioness sat up and stared directly at me. Made me feel scared as shit. Got outta there in a jiffy.

Was cackling as soon as John said that - many zoos even have posters up that say to NOT make eye contact because they see it as a challenge. Many predators see it as a challenge or a threat, too.

Also proudly presenting the stool samples the the impassive boss character got a good chuckle out of me. Very excited to see more very normal zoo antics where noting bad happens.

If the devs are watching-> if possible, can you go in and add little pauses between the characters speaking? For example 11:54 - 12:00 sounds very unnatural, like the characters are stepping over each other. I know that scene probably can’t be fixed, bc of the animation with the timing, but also in the beginning scene with the doc- we need pauses.

I REALLY like how the D-🐒-Tization makes all of your characters feel EXTRA craven, it's putting the horror back into these horror games that, even though you, John, and we, your audience, are desensitized to the scares, we still can't SEE them. It adds a cinematic quality and maybe that's unintended but i like it a lot, especially since the shock factor has lost its effect!
