If you pick the right job, you can really do well as a mom. There are office jobs that don't deploy often that would be great as a single parent. As a mom I like the safety of always a paycheck and health insurance. I take my kids to the er and never worry about a bill.

Im trying to join I’m a mother of two and would be leaving them with my husband but just the thought of being away makes me want to cry but I know this is the best for them I really don’t want them to struggle like my husband and I have I need motivation and only a mother could help me

Amber!! Love your channel! Thank u for this video/ blog.. definitely inspiring. 35, single dad.. I want to go active,.. but my daughter is 4 and she cries that she doesn’t want to Goto her mom’s house sometimes when I have to drop her off almost daily. Unfortunately, not all parents are caring or worry about their kids. She’ll ask me not to leave when I drop her off.. but it’s impossible to figure it out with a heavy narcissist. My mom is elderly although somewhat still strong. Reserves seem like the way to go, but really?.. I was told to atleast get a foot in even as a reserve.. I’ve been bumping into some airmen randomly.. I see signs of air force stickers on some cars more than ever. Seems like God is sending a sign.

God bless you! Strong mom. Strong woman. Thank you for being open and honest. Got me motivated for AF reserves. 39 years old and recruiter working with me. Got a great job and they will allow me to enlist before 40th bday and keep the job. We have 2 little kids. Just praying I keep my family safe and taken care of while I go to BMT and TS. I’ll be keeping up with your stories! Thank you

Great to know you’re joining at 39!! I’m 38 & will be sending in all my information to my recruiter again in Feb (per his request). Super nervous about going in at this age but I’m sure it’ll be more than worth it.

Single mom here with a two year old. I’m heavily debating on whether to join or not. I’m so sorry you’re going through this and I cannot imagine what it must be like not being able to see or even talk to your baby. You’re so strong momma. The future you’re creating for your son and for yourself will be so worth it in the end. God bless you.

Thank you for this video! I ship to AF bmt on August 15th. Not gonna lie, my emotions are getting intense. Im scared, Im nervous, Im anxious, and some days I cry, but I know that if I don’t do it now, I would live with regrets. And anyways, Im doing this for him and also for myself, because he is gonna grow, he is gonna leave, he is gonna make his own family and, what am I gonna do? What do I have for myself? So, yeah! I know its gonna be the most hardest thing ever, but I am trying to think about the results and not the process. Thank you for this 🙏❤️

Love this video and pray you get what you deserve. I’m currently going through this decision to join the Air Force reserves, but my family thinks it’s risky to join with all that’s going on in the world, but that’s all I want in life and it’s so heavy on my heart to join, but with a small toddler it makes it tough

I have a chance to join the Marines as an officer but the process will take probably nine months and I would have to leave my two kids (1 and 3 months)with my mother-in-law. My husband also wants to do it and he is the main one that wants me to join with him but I don’t want to leave my kids for that long! He gets out the army in December and joins in January! 😩😭

I was a single mom when I joined the guard. Ended up being in tradoc 18 months instead of 18 weeks. I was married but separated and wish I handle court matters prior because things flipped once I was coming back and 3 years later I still don’t even have 50%. I want to go back but do things right this time to prevent repeat issues. I’ve been thinking about going back since I got out. I love my life but i loved my life even more when I was in. There’s a lot of rules but I felt so much more secure. As a civilian, I feel like im just surviving. It’s really hard

I’m now mil to mil and will be finishing my contract this year. It’s been tough as mil to mil as well. I don’t think I could stay in the military as mil to mil or a single parent. It’s very hard to find supportive leadership as well as a supportive community

I have a one year old and would like to join the Air Force. I met with a recruiter last year. I’m more worried about daycare and deployment. Do my child come with me overseas? Is daycare always offered ? I also need to get a car as well. Do I need transportation while living on base?
@keepupwbri3 жыл бұрын
My baby is also one wondering the same !
@1andonlystar1433 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately for deployment your child will not come overseas . You will have to have either a caregiver provided or someone you wrote down to get her while you’re gone . Daycare is provided while you and your daughter are living on base but a little of the pay will come out of your check ( not a lot ) But yea daycare is always offered for regular daycare hours… if your job is night shift then you’ll unfortunately have to trust and find someone on base or near to watch your kid The car situation you can save up your money from Basic Military Training ( Bmt ) and get you a car as soon as you get to your first base
