Blaming it all on netflix is childish. Davidpro should have known the anime wouldn't be ready for the date the contract stipulated and that the schedule would fuck up the fanbase interaction yet they went in anyways knowing. Also them not putting their A team in charge of stone ocean tells you enough about the executives at DP. That and them not having it ready for the release date (thus rushing production) gave us the fucked up adaptations. Netflix didn't force it unto them, the higher ups at DP saw the terms and agreed

Part 5 has got to be my favorite. The music and visuals are perfect, and I love how they didn’t use any scenes from the anime. It’s not “secretive” per se, but showing them with different colors and their stand abilities, then showing what they’ll look like in the anime was so smart. Even watching this years after I watched the anime, I still feel like I’m seeing it for the first time. I can’t imagine the feeling people who read Golden Wind felt when this dropped. Pure fucking hype

it’s insane how JoJo got a proper anime adaptation on its 25th anniversary, in 2012; JoJolion was in its first few volumes at the time. Stone Ocean’s anime adaptation finished in 2022 and the first issue of The JoJolands was at the start of 2023. the anime is catching up quickly, but SBR and JJL are huge parts, so i bet they’ll have more episodes per season.
