I just had an open and honest convo with my 8 year old who thought James Charles was a girl because he wears makeup. I corrected him and explained that boys can wear makeup too. He understands what gay is because his sister and cousin are gay and I am bi. But we are still trying to break down the stereotypical gender roles that society has forced on us. He is perfectly capable of understanding, in detail, what it means to be part of the LGBTQ community. Any parent who says otherwise is fooling themselves and need to take time to reflect on the characteristics and principles that they are teaching their children.

If I could like this a million times I would, your words made me cry❤❤❤❤. Our 16 yr old daughter came out as Bi to us two years ago & we just hugged her. We also have a 9 & 10 yr old that know exactly what it means and they don't care at all & love her the same. Our saying has and always will be 'As long as you are not hurting anyone & noone is hurting you, you can love whoever & however you want, as long as you're happy'

Back when I was and judgey tween I found her annoying, then in the past few years I was like nah she's embracing her own style n things and that's super brave and is incredible for what she has achieved. And since she came out i can't stop thinking how much of a positive impact she's gonna have on our community

When I was 3 my mom and dad divorced and my mom began being with a woman, she was with her until I was 10 and it didn't make me gay, and I didn't know that it was even out of the norm until I started going to school and teachers would comment about it. Hate is taught we are not born with it

This is such a wonderful and significant moment for our community and the allies! Her coming out filled my heart with joy. I am lucky to live with accepting people, but I know there are so many people who aren’t as lucky as I. To all of you who don’t feel accepted, know that I accept you. Also, I FORCKING LOVE THAT LIPSTICK!!!!!!! WHAT IS IT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
