Maybe I'm reading too much into this as a queer woman. It's very likely that Soph and Avery fell out of love months ago, but still cared for each other. It was easier to stay in a relationship online for their fans and many money purposes. Who knows. I know many lesbians who are still friends with their exes. So when Avery realized that she was getting feelings for JoJo, told Soph what was up. Then they thought, it was probably time to officially break up and maybe Soph was tired of pretending too. I don’t think she was pretending especially going looking for a house together… avery ended things and the next week was with all about jojo. soph seemed surprised about this too. maybe avery fell out of love some time ago and it was a difficult decision to tale to end things, it always is but when you have an audience together it can imagine it being even more difficult. i do feel bad for soph because i couldnt imagine being broken up with and the next week my ex is parading with a mutual friend…
