Former Speed Skater here. Short Track speed skating is shown in the video. There are two disciplines in Speedskating, Long Track, where pairs race together and the best time from the field wins whereas Short Track is pack style. The first to cross the line wins. This was a 1500m which is one of the longer events. Since it is longer, typically you don't want to lead since people behind can draft and save a bit for the end. This is a great example of how Short track is such a mental sport. Also, typically you don't see team strategies much as I think that may be illegal. Not sure what the rules are for that. Overall, cool to see short track getting some love! Thanks!
