Not to bad of a small boat. Seems like motor gonna work for you. Also not to many leaks. Sadd to see damage from tornado. I had to replace my roof after one hit our neighborhood. Take care my friend. Steve

Yea I’m super excited to get that little boat finished and get to fishing on it. Those tornadoes are no joke it definitely did some damage in town. I’m just glad it went over my house before touching down. Did you go metal or shingles on your new roof? I went metal on my last roof a few years ago.

@centralfloridafisherman9931 I went back to shingles because my wife thought it would be very noisy. The former roof was shingles and it was 22 years old.

Cool little boat Chad, looking forward to seeing how it turns out. That tornado was only an EF0 with max winds of 75mph and 75 yards wide and it caused that much damage. Really makes you feel for those that live in tornado alley.

I’m super excited to get this little boat in the canals and start playing but I need to get a lot done before that happens. I think I would rather deal with the hurricanes than tornadoes. I couldn’t imagine living where those giant one come across the plains. You need to get out in the river it’s looking amazing lots of tarpon and big snapper around the docks.

I’ve got the same little boat. Mine is a 12’ sea nymph and I 5200’d the whole bottom of the transom and all the rivets and all the seams where the floor supports are where’s yours leaks. Then I also used flex seal and then painted over it and I have 0 leaks. Cool little boats to play with! I take mine in the intercostal in Fort Pierce and it handles the wake from bigger boats no issue.

Very nice I’m excited to get fishing on this little boat. Thanks for the input I will definitely look into sealing all the seams so I don’t have to deal with any leaks in the near future. I am also going to put a full sea dek floor in the bottom and a small deck on the front. I was wondering how it would handle boat wake but now I’m even more excited to get it built. Thanks for watching and commenting I really appreciate it.

@@centralfloridafisherman9931 Yeah man! No problem. The stuff is called 3M 5200 marine adhesive. It takes 7 days to dry but it dries rock hard. I highly recommend it to seal anything above or under water! I’m in the process of fabricating and building a front deck for mine too, mostly for storage and something to stand on because there’s not much other storage area on these small boats. Have fun and good luck! Can’t wait to see how it turns out for you.

Perfect inshore/lake boat!! Been thinking about a 17' skiff for myself for the flats around. Hopefully I see you out there soon 🎣🛶

17’ skiff would be perfect out there. I’m always out and about. Would definitely be cool to see you out there. Thanks for watching and commenting.
