You did an amazing job. It would be nice if you could install in the floor gas tank and use a four stroke tiller on the back then you could do away with the gas tank. Then you could close up the front but maybe leave s small door for life jackets, rope, etc. Grest job

I did a complete tear out of my Bass Tracker III , it’s a lot of work but it sure is satisfying when you get it out on the water, good luck

Love the build and can't wait to see you enjoying it on the water. I am looking to build something similar to go bowfishing with. Thanks for sharing 👍

Part of why I extended the deck is so that I can try some bow fishing with it!

You're exactly right man...doing these sort of things seems like it takes forever. When I re did mine (the main actual tear down and rebuild) I started in like November '19 and didn't finish until about August '20. I wasn't even done then because I replaced the transom and added a jack plate in like March or April of '21. Boats looking great man, keep it up

I have a 14ft aluminum boat that i’m going to use .063 Aluminum checker plate for the floor and build a casting deck up front too . That way it’s 100% water / rot proof and should last for ever

I’m watching these build videos one at a time so I don’t know the outcome but I do know at this point of the build I would have never spent the money on aluminum plate and spent it on plywood coated in epoxy resin instead and if I still had the boat 10 years later and it really needed it just replace the plywood again. What were you thinking and will you just cover up the diamond plate aluminum with carpet? Maybe I’ll find out in the next video…

My thoughts on it were 1. I never want to replace rotten wood again 2. I’ll be doing all sorts of fishing and potentially bow fishing, so it’ll get disgusting. I can just fire up the pressure washer and clean it out without worrying about the floor getting spongey

Very nice rig. I think that I saw some white corrosion spots. Did you remove them before installing the floor? I also saw a lot of debris under the floor and probably some aluminum shavings. If you don’t clean the bottom of the boat of this debris before closing it, you might get your bilge pump jammed when you’d need it the most...

Where did you get the aluminum sheet from
@moreslabs9 ай бұрын
Londerville steel in Wausau, Wi. But any local metal shop can get you materials. It’s always cheaper to buy any metal from a local metal shop than buying little chunks from a hardware store. You’ll pay $15 for a 4’ stick of angle aluminum at a hardware store and $20 for a 25’ stick at a metal shop

I probably would have coated the heck out of those rivets in the floor with gluvit, for good luck.
