This is literally so ingenious! Imagine if you have multiple ppl, one playing just the percussion on the guitar, then another person just playing the notes, and maybe 2-3 MORE ppl playing bass guitar, more percussion layers, and what you essentially have is a full orchestrated bloody band, literally consisting of only guitars! X'D

Nice. If you can catch the edge of the soundhole on the 'snare' sound it really pops. This is so far beyond what I'm ever likely to do though.

i don't think Mr. Gomm can do that with all the machinery in his Guit-Fiddle, but you're right, it creates a nice pop.. it's nice to flare with too, if you flick with all five at a fill in or something

Adding the bass note in during drumming makes me think of brushy one string Your awesome , do you have anything against the idea of straight slapping all the strings and the with fingers and wrist very whip like to make the strings ring, the strings male a ass percussive noise plus the bass of the body being hit with the thumb where it meets the wrist? Trying to see if there is a reason not to do that lol. You have much more experience tha. me...... obviously

thanks for the lesson! you know im ok with the drum thing on guitar....my only problem is in the live situation where my piezo acoustic guitar cant ''catch'' all those percusion sounds.....so when i try to loop something like this the only sounds that my guitar catches are the kick and the ''snare'' (hitting the strings) so my main question is do you use a mic instead of a piezo? (mic made for the inside of the acoustic guitar). or a mic infront the guitar? :)

Cian Crowe Guess what, still a lesson. If one wants to learn the technique he's using, one needs to understand it, be able to observe it and listen, with detail, how he is producing those sounds. Therefore slowing it down would be useful for the learning experience. By the way, I would love to know how my request to Jon Gomm affects you, in any way.
