I know most of you were blown away by Jon's unearthly guitar abilities (and so was I), but what keeps me coming back to this clip over & over again for the last 5-6 years is his voice. The list of vocalists that can absolutely destroy me emotionally is quite short: Thom Yorke, Chris Cornell, Rufus Wainwright, Tom Waits, Susanne Sundfor, Layne Staley, Jeff Buckley...and Jon Gromm. The amount of emotion that Jon conveys in this song is absolutely devastating & mind numbing. Thank you for this, Jon. Thank you for making me FEEL.

The day this came out it blew me away. Luckily I had a very musical coworker next to me with whom I could fanboy out together. Remains my first song I show people of Jon. Two reasons that it hooked me: 1) The harmonies for the voice by retuning the guitar are just genius. 2) The independence and laid-backness of the bass - meldoy - percussion are very strong in this one, much more than in most fingerstyle songs.
