Lads, he's not trying to impress you with his flamadiddle prowess, he's providing artillery for a sonic assault. You're allowed to not like the blast, but don't pretend you're ever so above it.

I'm a big fan of Inferno's creativity, but... Every once in a while, it's nice to see a drummer who doesn't just tap the drums.
@BDyoungster1997

Inferno used 5B's if I remember right. So imo tapping would still produce enough to cut through the wall of sound
@kingkongkungkwang
@kingkongkungkwang 4 жыл бұрын
@@BDyoungster1997 5Bs cut through alright. I use 5Bs for medium size venues. The way he hits the drums, the sound guy has to be pretty amazing. Unless they triggered the drums ofcourse. I normally can't imagine the sound cutting through crisply unless he uses at least 2Bs.

Wow, so many haters that can't blast, so they say blasting is terrible just because they can't do it. Here's one I have heard many times "I could do that, I'm just not into that style". Heard this from guitarists more than drummers
@creepydutchman
@creepydutchman 4 жыл бұрын
Or from those who's into blastbeat so much and thinking those bands who aren't into blastbeat can't blast. And again, it mostly came from guitarists. Ok im not lying here aight... As a drummer i had that kind of conversation when i was about to fill for my friend on a small gig. Contrary to his band that play tech death metal which was way more savage compared to my doom metal band. My friend was the only guy i knew well in person on his band, and during the practice session the guitarist kinda made fun of me, saying im not a capable kinda guy to perform their angry thunderous blastbeats so i asked him if he wanted to know how my gravity blasts feels like on his forehead and he was like "ok dude, you're in". So yup i can say that they ain't gonna stop say that until you perform the gravity blast on their forehead

This is goddamn amazing! This is how it's done! The way this music should be played. If you don't understad it, it doesn't make it bad. this takes a lot of time to get right, just because you can do fast singles, doesn't mean you can play good sounding blast beats. The feel doesn't just come from the speed, if you don't know this type of music, you don't get it, just like alot of drummers don't get Jazz, it doesn't make it bad.....

its easy for some to judge and blindly say a style of music is bad, but play it yourself. theres different reasons for different styles of music. if you personally dont like the music then say what you mean, but dont proclaim that nobody should like it by saying "its bad" simply because *you* dont like it. these musicians can play more than one style of music. but what youre seeing and hearing is what theyre doing right now. its not all they can do. and its a pointless argument to say they should be doing something else. if they wanted to they would.

A paradiddle is easy to play? Look up videos of Tony Williams playing singles, doubles, paradiddles, so smoothly that it all sounds like one continuous roll, and then tell me you can do that and that it's easy. I won't say that blast beats and metal drumming isn't difficult, it is. I sure as hell can't do that. But to say a paradiddle or any other rudiment is "easy" is ignorance.
