Great song. My husband's father left when my husband was little too. His father died last year, never got to talk to him about how he felt and try and work through it as his father didn't want to try. But last year we saw him in the funeral home and he and I had a sweet moment to get closure and say goodbye. My children never knew him, but the way his father was has made my husband know that he never wants to be like his father and always wants to be there for his children. It is always sad when a parent does not act like a parent, so many broken homes.

Wow, that's a really good song !!! It was moving!!! My parents divorced when I was nine, and my dad saying goodbye, even though we would still see him. Thank God , it was one of the most painful days of my life!!! And my 2 older boys' dad left when they were young and didn't see them again till they were much older. This caused a lot of problems in their lives!! But thankfully, they are both walking with the Lord now !! And just like your song says, neither of them would ever leave their kids because of this!!! I am sending this song to both of my boys !! Thanks again!!!

What a beautiful song! This hits home on so many levels. My parents were out of my life at a very young age and now that I am older my mom is back in it but it’s always an emotional roller coaster. It has helped shape me into the woman I am today. I love my children unconditionally and vouche to always be there in every way possible

This is a beautiful song. One unfortunately I can relate to. My dad never made the decision to be in my brother or I’s life. His loss, we are great people. Both of us are math teachers. We see this situation over and over again in the classroom. So sad!!! Great job!! Love the song!
