oh boy, brings back an early memory helping my dad change one when i was teenager. My first lesson in being patient , seized kingpin , but yeah its like your video, its how you handle your mistake. Great video , really educational for all us builders/ backyard repairs. Keep them coming !!!

Did a pair once in a gas station. Boss charged $62.50 a side. When I got paid he gave me all of the labor. God Bless you Mr. Kelly. You were always Righteous.

Very well made video man. I really enjoyed it. I don't have a truck with a kingpin style front axle but was curious as to how they come apart and this video demonstrated that very well. Also a big kudos to you for making it proper when the bearing was turned upside down by mistake. Stuff like that happens to all of us and it's great to see guys with the patience to make it right at the end of the day.

no Jonathan, lol, if you think you're the only one thats made an oops, trustme, there is quite a crowd of us , we all have. Its a part of us doing our repairs. you are absolutely right, its what you do about it after that matters. Say a quick curse word and do it right. Great video as always!!!

Great video and there is so much behind your casual comment of "I made a piece". Thanks for sharing all your videos whether they are for fun or for technical information.

That’s a brilliant design so you don’t have to sledgehammer a drift with someone holding it that’s just dangerous well done 👍🏻

Dude! You doin' the grunt work is why we're watching. Ya gotta show how you got these rusty crappy components out, not the before and after. love your work, notice you left the draglink hooked up. Hmmm gonna try that.

Love this video, it’s been so helpful. I’m currently doing this to my international 4900 single axle dump. Do you happen to have a part number for this style king pin? I’m having a heck of a time trying to find the right kit.

We all screw up I was putting the exhaust and the turbo back on my 6.5 got it all back together and forgot the return tube goes from the turbo to the bottom of the block but it’s got to have the exhaust loose to fit it from turbo to bottom of motor I thought of cutting it and using rubber then I said got to do it right so I took it all back off the down spout and all so back to it this morning and get it done lol

It would have helped me out a lot. Seeing that is where I am stuck at. Showing all the holes being cleaned up and the bushings going would show more of the pain part. Better than no information though. Take care

great video but I did not see you adding any shims. shims are important cause next time you go to get tires they will tell you that you need kin pin. no shims and you will get play up and down.

Oxy torch is a last option on king pins . First one should be WD40 or any similar penetrating agent ,that tool he made is a grrat idea you dont need another guy swinging the sledge hammer .
