I own Aviator 2.0 and can confirm that the koroyd core really dampens the vibrations. I was riding in Cortina D'Amprezzo on the upper mountain grooms. There were quite a lot icy patches and I found more grip at the sides of the runs where there were some small icy pieces left by the machines making the runs. The board was so dampened that I did not feel them under the deck. I recommend Jones Aviator 2.0. I use small disks bindings.

Ordered just now and sounds like the perfect board for me. I’m also hoping the 3D base helps with not catching edges, but we’ll see!

ALOHA 🏝️🤙. Je suis très intéressé par ce bijou 😊. Mon niveau général en snow est intermédiaire même si je suis débutant débrouillé en saut . Mais j'adore être en l'air et faire des grabs! Au park où en sidehits ! J'aime aussi le backcountry! Le carving j'aime BEAUCOUP aussi. J'ai un style plutôt agressif un peu casse cou😅 J'aimerais avoir une belle progression dans tout ces domaines mais surtout en freestyle !!!. Donc ma question est : Est-ce une planche faite pour moi ??? Qu'en penses-tu ??? MERCI beaucoup d'avance.

How did the board handle in really icy conditions?

Great. I ride in the east coast. Excellent edge hold in icy conditions and incredibly damp is choppy conditions

@@Corythehausbaus I would recommend. I bought this for East Coast carving and charging. If you like to go fast and carve hard this will hold an edge. The full camber holds and excellent edge and they have also added small side bulbs to the edge for extra edge traction. I feel locked it in most icey conditions. Although you gotta remember remember that ice is ice and if it's to icey nothing will help. But I did get this for the "ice coast.". I would consider myself an advanced rider. And I love this board

Wanted a camber board for boosting side hits while remaining damp for the resort, would y'all say this is too aggressive for cat track sending? Any other slightly more forgivable camber boards similar to the aviator?

From what I’ve read, this board is great for hitting natural features… the mountain twin has a flex of 7 and similar characteristics for the most part.

how does it Compare against the Burton Custom X. Does it have more Edge Control and does it have more Lift? Can you ride a shorter one for more playfulness?

More edge hold and more pop than the custom x for sure and lighter.

Jones Aviator 2.0 vs Bataleon Thunderbolt vs Burton Custom X. Which one would you recommend?

@@valeriogiajvia165 any specific reason why you recommend the Aviator 2.0? The Bataleon Thunder has great reviews from what I can tell and the Thunderbolt seems to be a speccd up version. What would the Aviator 2.0 be better at than the Thunderbolt?

Super aggressive board I wouldn’t get it if you’re just starting out. For Jones I’d go with the Frontier 🤙🏼

You probably want something with way more flex and forgiveness. When you eventually learn how to carve well then time to upgrade. I would just go with a cheap flexible board until then.

Go with this one. The 3d countour base will make it a better ride of you find yourself in pow.

Check out the Jones flagship, it's fairly similar to the custom x. The ultra mountain twin is also a great board

@@je5406Thanks! Due to the covid constrains in Europe, we have no plans to go this year. My current Burton Custom X 2012 with flow Rs binding still rides great, but I want something new. 😁

i upgraded to the aviator because most of my riding is on ice. michigan. always ridden full camber and this thing is definitely an animal. you cant get lazy with this board but it rips and handles ice fine. it was between this and the flagship. not a jib board unless youre really good. or i just suck probably.
