I appreciate the fact that you are one of the only reviewers that demonstrates how the bag fits underneath the seat. On an aside, I think that many people might find it interesting to do side by side comparison videos of bags of the same volume capacity and features i.e.15l bag vs 15l bag, 20l bag vs 20l bag etc. as some bags of the same size are still bigger than others. Thanks for the good work !

Love this bag. I use it as a lightweight EDC when home, and, when traveling, I will flat pack empty in a suitcase for use when I get to where I’m going. I do not, however, use it as a primary travel backpack. My flight pack is usually a 24L+ pack by Aer or EVERGOODS.

I've been using it almost every day for over a year and it still does everything I need. Normally I'm the sort of person who opts for a premium product but I'd struggle to justify this sort of upgrade.

Great review, good presentation style and I’ll be checking out the other videos. I have to disagree with the overall summary of the bag though as I’ve just not enjoyed my experience with it and ended up replacing it with a Peak Design back pack. Don’t get me wrong, the features on the Bellroy were nice but it was the lack of structure of the bag and the main opening compartment that I just couldn’t get along with. I hated the fact that it wouldn’t stand up in order to access the main compartment as it wasn’t rigid enough, and just kept flopping. I also found it uncomfortable to wear, the position of the pack was too low on my back and struggled to have it higher up on my shoulders due to the straps.

Really wanted the orange color, but wasn’t available, so I got the navy blue one. It’s become my do everything backpack now. Work, gym, overnight and weekend stays occasionally. It’s not perfect of course. The main compartment zipper is still sticky/stiff, especially near the area where to top pocket flops down. It’s odd because the top one is silky smooth. Also the lack of some organization in the side pocket is noticeable. And yea, the price is quite high. Overall I’m very pleased with it.

Whilst Jon's picks are good, I like his mate's choices that are, let's say, more competitively priced.

You don’t have $330+ for a backpack??? Haha but this is a great review and in all seriousness, I wish I did have $330+ for a cool backpack like this.

It’s worth it though. Belroy stuff is always top quality and will last way better than cheaper bags. I don’t have this bag but several of their older ones and they are really worth it.

Hey Jonathan, when can you see check out the nitecore slb05?

I've never seen a great Nitecore bag TBH but I'll have a look

@@JonGadget i actually got it 2 weeks ago . That one and a nitecore nup20 and i like it. Its a pouch. The slb05 i like it too if you upgrade the buckles to magnetic etc its even better. Its small but looks nice and has good pockets. I love it tbh haha

I'd want some kind of internal frame like my Osprey daysack has to keep the rucksack off your back and give some ventilation. Packs like this make you incredibly sweaty.

I would see that application as for more serious outdoor trekking - for general use frames and straps everywhere don't really do it for me and at 20L and for a pack that weighs just 850g this worked fine for me even in 30 degree heat.

@@JonGadget I can’t seem to add a photo but check out the osprey Hikelite 18 to get an idea of what I mean.
