One of the best versions of this song in existence. She did Johnny's lyrics justice.

When I saw this duet on KZbin I cringed, not believing it would work but I humbly apologize for being a sceptic. These two greats actually complement each other. Amazing!

Johnny Cash was just an amazing artist. At a time when country music people never reached out to other types of music he had great artists like Joni Mitchell and CCR and others on his show.

At my door the leaves are falling A cold wild wind will come Sweethearts walk by together and I still miss someone I wonder if he's sorry for leavin' what we'd begun There's someone for me somewhere and I still miss someone Oh, I never got over those blue eyes! I see them every where! I miss those arms that held me when all the love was there I go out on a party and look for a little fun but I find a darkened corner 'cause I still miss someone Oh, I never got over those blue eyes! I see them every where! I miss those arms that held me when all the love was there I wonder if he's sorry for leavin' what we'd begun There's someone for me somewhere and I still miss someone And I still miss someone

@zsylvana Music today is nothing compared to what we had in the '60s and early ''70s. Fortunately my children like music from that period. While they were growing up my wife and I played it for them and it grew on them. I'm glad of it. They like some contemporary artists too. One of my sons likes "Scream" music for what that's worth. I don't comprehend it at all. Ron

Joni's voice is unrecognizable, speaking and singing-wise. But she could've had quite the career as a country belle, but that wasn't her calling. "You Turn Me on, I'm a Radio" was the only sign of that before she really explored some paths of wild artistry.

I don’t particularly care for the string arrangement they added to this song but Joni and Johnny sung the tune great despite having them obnoxious violins (and violas?), cellos and basses and all constantly interrupting, no offense to any string players but it just wasn’t workin’ for me in this particular instance. The glockenspiel part was cool though, that worked, in my own opinion.

I've loved Joni since the early seventies, but it's a shame she's become slightly bitter and grumpy over the years, at this time she was like a dream woman.
