Nice! The 866 cams are extremely hard to find here nowadays. But for me that doesnt matter anymore since I traded the Punto in for a 206 gti. I'll be getting it on Thursday.

20Nm was in Haynes manual but I just use my hands, never have had a torque wrench :D

Loudest palio you gave me reply my car reaches 120 easily after that it takes 1 kilo meter stretch to reach 140 why I don't know and my car reaches 140 after that it doesn't I don't know the problem can you guide me I am thinking to remap ecu but many guys tell palio its hard to remap it if even you do it there will no be big difference in bhp powet

That's normal, 866 camshaft helps a lot. Another thing is better breathing air induction kit 😊

Hey, great video, thats what i was looking for! Did you use new bolts when reassembling the camshaft or the "old" ones? I always thought you gotta use new ones but it looks like you used the old ones and its workin fine. Do you know if the camshaft seals, bolt positioning and so on, is the same on all fire engines, the 1.0 as well as the 1.1 and the 1.2? So are they interchangeable with no mods? I am wondering if i could use a punto 55,60 camshaft on a 1.0 fire engine.

Yes you can use the old ones. Mechanical fuel pump won't work with 866 cam but everything else is same :)

thx 4 the fast reply! You mean the mechanical fuel pump doesnt deliver enough fuel? I am planing on increasing the cam lift from 7,1mm to 8mm not to the 866 cam which has, i believe, 9,5mm lift. You went from 8,8mm lift to 9,5mm and slightly different valve timing right?

No, 866 cam doesn't have option for it, you have to use electric fuel pump. Yes, power band is now much better. Feels like different car after 3000rpm :D

@@JoniK1 it is actually not possible to put camshaft 866 in to 1.2 8v from 2010... i just tried... dimension of first holder is different (one that come first behind pully.... my camshaft is 916...

That's right, I tried to change the camshaft today. The first holder is indeed different. I have a Panda 1.2 60hp from 2008.

@GR you use the original pulley for the car some models have a different tooth pitch on the belt

You may have to adjust valve clearances but straight mod otherwise. Of course you should reset the ecu after install

Hello, i have your same motors and i have changed che camshaft 4x4 in 866 but the car doesn't work well at minimum rpm but at high rpm it have more power sound and acceleration, at minimum rpm it have a shaky and sobbing (sorry for bad English) you have some advice?

Hi! Have you checked valve clearances? Idle isn't as smooth as it used to be and it starts to jerk under 1500rpm more easily. No other cons I'm aware of :)

yes, but it doen't work as well, i have utilized the distance 0,30 - 0,40 and 0,35 - 0,45 the problem is slightly solved.. thank you

Have you smoothed throttle body? You should also clean it with brake cleaner or similar. And reset the ecu of course :D

Original air filter restricts a lot, you should change it to Ebay induction kit or GSR :)

Or you can make a spacer. There should be no power difference if you use 866 camshaft :)

Sorry I have dislike your video but there are a few issues with the safety issue 1why was the battery not disconnected (as recommended by fiat e service) and I did not see you torque the bolts down to to cam carrier brackets or the camshaft centre bolt

Camshaft change has nothing to do with electrics, you don't even have to undo any connectors. Only time I disconnect battery from car is when I'm welding it. It resets headunit settings etc. I've never used torque wrench, I just torque bolts to same tightness with same tool I used to undo them. But of course you should use torque wrench if you don't know what you're doing
