This is the most incredible vocal performance IMO… he’s so young and that’s highly stakes right there with cameras and audience etc… takes a special soul to get up and cut loose and do it that well with that much passion. Damn!!!!

I was there that evening. Jonny Lang replaced Dr. John that night. Dr. John couldn't make it. My BBQ restaurant was feeding the crew and band. I stayed after rehearsals because Jonny Lang was so good.

I got to be there that night. Charlie asked me to feed the band and the ACL crew. I stayed after listening to their rehearsals. I fed bands for about 15 years at ACL and this was my favorite. I also got to know Stephen Doster. He used to eat and play at my place. Good man.
