I first saw that interview of Ms. Nicholl's encounter with MLK a few years ago. I am certainly *GLAD* that happened, and she stayed on the show...👍👍

Thanks for putting this together. Star Trek was a pivotal show. It hit during a time of stress in America. I hope it continues to inspire new generations. 6

As a child that grew up in the 70s, seeing a black woman on the bridge made me think that was just normal. On a personal level, it helped me develop trying to not be racist.

I’d heard that Grace was fired because of a drug problem. I’m glad that wasn’t true.

Progressive and ahead of its time with ease and without the political agenda and divisive fall out. We are regressing now as a society and the great mythologies of our time, STAR WARS STAR TREK and DOCTOR WHO-have been turned in anemic versions off the once great powerhouses of creativity that they where. All rto pander to a certain political ideology which is actually only shared by a minority. Gene Robenberry and tjhe original crew-the original and the best.
@susanscott86532 жыл бұрын
Without the political agenda?🤨 Look again. Gene Roddenberry created a crew including a black woman during the era of the civil rights movement, a Japanese man only 20 years after WWII and a Russian a the height of the cold war. The issues being dealt with may have changed but social change was always part of the show's mission .
@RogueWJL2 жыл бұрын
@@susanscott8653 ..No. The original version of the show gave a utopian society where many races give a vision of society that Gene Rodenbury wished or hoped for. It was partisan. Not left or right. Today issues raised are very much politically motivated with a clear 'pteachy message playing to stereotypes for the left against the right

Jonny, that was a fine compilation but you need to have someone review your works before you post them. There's definitely room for improvement.

Star Trek has gone full WOKE now. Completely useless. To boldly go WOKE like no man, sorry person, has gone before.😁
