Yesterday I went to a new used record store in SF and looked through their dance and old hip hop 12” section and it took me back.

The Drums on this track hit hard on are car systems & the keyboard programming from Maurice White & Michael Jonzon is absolutely superb….just listen to Candy Girl from New Edition & the beats, programming & arrangement all done by Jonzun Crew aswell,…and ofcourse, they had some serious vocoder recording techniques, dam ear as good as Roger Troutman & his Zapp brother’s
