Decriminalisation just means the criminal penalties have been removed; but it is still illegal, and can be handled with "Civil penalties", such as fines. The problem then becomes one of resources, and the police will have a tendency to focus on criminal rather than civil for traffic offences. Not so much for drug offences mind, which is why so many people got caught out by the decriminalisation of a certain drug a number of years ago, making the same mistake of believing that decriminalisation meant the same as legalisation.

Well, there's a risk of an accident and injury if that were done. A better solution would be a well positioned CCTV camera on a pole, filming the people ignoring the keep left sign, which would include motorbikes and scooters.

@Zipcc, humbly, I’m not sure you are right that driving on the “wrong side of the road” being illegal. If you are driving down a 2 way road and the driver in front of you stops, you are perfectly allowed to move into the “wrong” lane to overtake them, so long as you do so safely and return to your own lane afterwards. In the same way, Mikey will often overtake cars on the right when he is catching phone users. The fact that you can drive on the “wrong” side of the road at times is exactly why this keep left sign exists at Gandolf corner: to indicate that this is an unsafe (and previously illegal) place to cross to the wrong side. If it were not allowed anywhere, then these signs would not be needed!

Looks like some of the Motorbike riders weren't even turning right at the junction they were just driving on the wrong side of the road to avoid the traffic, and how far down the road can you now drive on the wrong side of the road for it not to be an offence, I've seen some of your vids where the driver has driven at least 200yds on the wrong side of the road to get to the keep left sign, when you stop them.

Do you also feel aggrieved by the drivers who correctly use the second lane on roundabout exits and then merge back to lane 1? As a driver, you don't penalise other drivers for their mistakes by hanging them out to dry, which continues to cause a danger to other road users. If you are the kind of driver that thinks it is appropriate to punish other drivers mistakes by refusing to let them merge, or punishes their good use of multiple lanes by refusing to let them merge, try to understand that makes you a terrible, and dangerous driver. Book a few refresher lessons with an instructor, because your comment suggests you need them.

There seems to be a high number of these 'Trade Vehicles' in the queue, including YA67MKE & YO19BWC. If the Royal Parks wanted to make an extra few bob they could implement an ANPR camera to rake in the money on fines.

It never ceases to amaze and annoy me how many other drivers feel it necessary to vent anger at you for trying to stop other motorists from breaking the law and potentially injuring innocent people. This is bizarre behaviour, for most drivers, but probably indicative of the type of activity they indulge in themselves.

So the fact that it's the law to drive on the left and the fact that there's even a sign to remind people, on a busy junction like that, the law says it's fine now to ignore all that. Ridiculous.

The law does not now say that it is fine to ignore that road sign, decriminalised DOES NOT mean legalised! The only thing that has changed is that the offence of ignoring that sign is now handled with civil penalties rather than criminal penalties. It remains just as illegal today as it was before decriminalisation.
