Reading some texts can help. Wrongs texts do not. 98% of people use the phrase Status Quo wrongly, it means best strandard, not current expectations. Fascism is misused as much, it is not just about any oppression but GOVERNMENT oppression of the people without concerns for what they want. eg. Like passing a law against purple flowers just because you do not like them. Most people do not have that need. This is real example, Mill Creek (WA) has lots of fascist rules about illegal fonts, etc.

@@Dontuseyourrealname134 His crowd are mostly mindless lefties. They laugh when they're being insulted because they don't get that they're being insulted. They have relatively low intelligence, and like most people who are more-or-less stupid, they have a skewed image of what intelligence is; they think it's clever, or sarcastic, or constantly witty and cynical.... and while those may well be components of deep intelligence, this is all that Maher puts out, and the people of his audience worship him as a leftist champion and treat him like some unbeatable debate God with a witty retort for every "right wing talking point." They're easily impressed because they're not packing much heat. Maher laughs and makes money. They clap when they're insulted.

@Vic Melloni Surprised people are still commenting on this. You personally attacked Dr. Peterson and in response I gave nothing more than an assumption of why you would do so, which would be understandable. I did not say you had to do anything, I only stated how inaccurate your accusation was which is border line libel. I will say after reading the thread, my assumption must have been pretty close to home? Regardless, you dont have to like Dr. Peterson. Your accusations however, are not only fallacious about the individual but dismiss the complexity of medication withdrawal and the seriousness that follows millions today. Being in healthcare, I took personal issue with that. I hope you are doing well and/or better. Good luck in your life, remember to breathe. It is hard through text but I genuinely mean that sir/miss, I'm not being snide.

@@youseev Hello, Dr. Peterson is one of the most cited CLINICAL psychologists in HISTORY. He has offered over 35 years of experience teaching, conducting research at top universities, and the majority of those years he was in clinical practice until 2016? (I think unless it was until 2017) To say he is not recognized in science or academia is absolutely false considering the incredibly wide reach his contributions to the field has been.

As Bill Maher defines political correctness at 2:30 as, "The elevation of sensitivity over truth", Jordan Peterson absolutely nails it by saying, "The elevation of moral posturing about sensitivity over truth". Simply genius Jordan B. Peterson.

@Makhi Makharadze Your argument is a logical fallacy known as whataboutism, just because Obama was a shit president, that doesn't give Donald Trump a free pass to be a shit president as well. I'm not among the left or the right. I believe both Trump and Obama were abysmal presidents. I support ideas which are philosophically consistent, the "left/right" dichotomy is the reason why the USA is falling apart.

“Donald Trump is our president how can we be expected to raise normal children?” Uhhh, the same way you would any other time? Why does who the president is effect how you raise your child?! Edit: This blew up, Id like to clarify what I meant because the original comment wasn't phrased as clearly as maybe it should have been. I’m not trying to say that the president has no effect on raising children, but it seems like a pretty big excuse. If she was using a hyperbole, it resembles the dull, cheap laugh, 'Trump bad' line that’s been overused by talk show hosts and others. If it isnt a hyperbole my main point is: Theres a big personal responsibility when it comes to raising children, to blame a large portion of that on the president seems absurd.

Exactly. One can picture them explaining the vagaries of American Politics, Sexism, and Trump to their 5 yr old, their kid nodding agreeingly and taking notes. These kinda people have a warped view of child intelligence and child rearing, in my humble opinion, and it preempts whatever particulars at hand. It highlights how on really EVERY issue, there are mitigating factors that preempt and muddle whatever issue they're talking about...namely, stupidity. But we can't call people stupid anymore, it's a real shame.
