Academic institutions, higher and lower, need to continue to fail for any meaningful change to occur. When the universities and colleges feel the economic squeeze, real changes will begin. The marketplace is ruthless, when it is allowed to work. Trump's coming Presidency is a step in this direction... a step. There's a mile of steps ahead.

I love this argument. It’s always some boogeyman who took something from you. People like Musk and Gates are basically comic book characters that are mythical creatures in a way. That's great. Hope you have some gratitude. I was just stating a fact, so your reply has no merit. Here's more facts : Pell Grants started in the early 70's, and are a major reason, for tuition increases. Universities that had enrollments of 3k in '67 suddenly had enrollments of 15k by '75. The universities loved all this guaranteed government money rolling in, and realized they could raise tuitions. This led to more student loans, for the person who didn't qualify for the grants, but didn't have the means to pay these increased tuitions. I worked all summer, and 5 nights a week during the school year, so I had very minimal loans when graduating. Additionally, you are in the minority of using the Pell Grant as intended. The majority who have received Pell Grants never graduated.

It’s correct, depending on the trade. Got one buddy with an hvac company after working several years for someone else. I don’t know he’s got a million in the bank but he’s well off and I wouldn’t be surprised. The trades are necessary for society to function and fewer people are working them over time. Big demand + small supply = big prices/profit
