I went to Trumps wedding to Marla Maples in the 90’s. He hired my dad to do some legal work for him in Alabama & Mississippi and has a result ended up at the Plaza Hotel for his nuptials. I was just a longhaired college student, had never met him, so I waited in a line of hundreds to congratulate him after the ceremony. The second I opened my mouth and he heard my southern accent, he knew exactly who I was and thanked me & my dad for coming and praised my dad for the work he had been doing for him down south. I was stunned! The event was as diverse as you could imagine, and everyone spoke of him glowingly. The man you see today is the same one I met back in the mid 90’s. I’ve managed to have seen him a few times since 2015 and was there in NYC on election night & his inauguration. He’s always been extremely kind and when he’s speaking to you, it feels like you are the only person in the room.

That's a truly heartwarming story. But Trump is a brilliant narcissist. He does have people skills but that doesn't mean his motives are pure. The devil knows your name too and he knows how to butter you up for the kill. That's the art of the grift, disarming everyone with your charm. Anyone who's had any dealing with narcissists on a personal level knows the first thing they do is charm you off your feet. They have a gut instinct to flatter your ego before you know what hit you. Its called "love bombing" and it's the primary way a narcissist meets all his new friends. People fall for it most of the time because we all like to have our ego stroked. But once they've hooked you, the claws eventually come out and you realize you are trapped because now you've made a deal with the devil and the devil never forgets.

I feel though that his "symbolic" branch of government in UK is a bit much... Yes, Queen/King doesn't do much, but I have a question to all the Brits out there: what is the legal basis for Windsor family relinquishing power in Great Britain? Only legal basis I know of is the entirely illegal execution of King Charles by Cromwell... Mind you - I am not saying he didn't have it coming - but I can't really not see the parallel with King John and the Baron Rebellion, and yet John stayed...

A lot of people saw the actual man Trump is on Saturday. Most men couldn't even come close.
@ComeAlongKay4 ай бұрын
@@marciamakoviecki3295well I’d say most women couldn’t either but no one ever seems to have any moral or courage or character standards for them particularly of late. Just sort of do and say whatever you want and if it’s bad we will blame it on the patriarchy or some other made up junk. But also seems like a random harsh judgment of most men. I mean we don’t know most men, could say maybe many men couldn’t. But I feel like more men would come close than women. Men get dissed a great deal right now but most soldiers fire fighters rescue workers people who risk their lives in very dangerous stuff every day or break their back doing jobs that require an immense physical drain are men. I think the standards are just so high for men to be he man that it’s very easy to fall below them. When you have no standards at all applied to you like modern women do and nothing is ever your fault or required of you character wise than exceeding those standards is incredibly easy. People don’t say women up they say man up because strength and bravery are expected from men not women or are at least dramatically more expected from men than women. And really the wokeness eating the west is kind of toxic feminist incarnate. I think that’s part of why women are so protected in that group that sort of jealous vengeful toxic feminine sprit is the source of their power. Women like minorities are also used as easily manipulated politicos props. Just say sexism or racism and they’ll fork over cash and march for whatever. Basic people have woken up dramatically more to that fact than women have. Besides black women I guess, they’re still Biden’s largest most ardent supporters I believe.

The staff were excitedly bustling around in the hallways and we heard them exclaining to one another and to us and other Hotel guests, "Mr Trump is here!" "Mr Trump is in the house!" These were obviously happy and excited exclamations! There was NO feeling or look of dread. His employees were really excited and happy! Smiles everywhere! The employees seemed to be dancing almost as they walked in the corridors. We could feel it, we could see it, we could hear it, we could sense it in every possible way. I thought it spoke well for him. To this day, I remember it. The happy buzz. I think because we severed our ties completely with Britain the early Americans, mostly from British ancestry, still liked the idea of a head of state. Canada has maintained a connection with the British Empire much longer than The US. I think we Americans like the human aspect of our leaders being like us with families and personal lives. But at the same time the presidents serve a very practical role as an executive and manager of the country. So caring about the first lady and the presidents' family is a very humanizing aspect of a practical role. And first lady plays a role in diplomacy and hospitality toward leaders from other countries. The first family is the human face of an often quite complex nation. It is quite democratic actually.
