@@varjasib993 Pretty much. It's just as Mint Jelly says, you can't save everyone but you can save yourself, and bad friends really will try and drag you down to their level. I was out drinking with my former friends one evening and it just hit me, and I started to ask where my life was going, and did these guys I was hanging around with bring true value to my life. I realised that I was just existing, not truly living life, just going through the motions. I put my beer down, said "see you later guys" and went home. Applied for some overseas jobs, got one, and when the visa arrived I hopped on the plane and never looked back. That was 7 years ago. I now have a wife, we have three properties, two vehicles and blossoming careers, none of which I would have if I had stayed where I was. I have heard through family that a couple of my former friends had been trash talking and critising me, yet from what I heard their lives are still the same as I had left them, no growth, still drinking in the same bar doing the same menial jobs, going from one meaningless relationship to another. In the end hating me because I wanted more out of life, and got more, rather than admit their errors and change their own lives they chose to vilify me. When low status men become enough in numbers and recognize that the economic system does not work for them, what will result from this situation? This is exactly what is happening so much in our present society. For example maybe the country can get into a war with another country and then they need manpower to fight the aggressive country. If enough low status men feel their country does not respect their capabilities they can resist induction into the army. They might go to prison for a time but with enough men acting out their resentment this can become a genuine concern for the country in peril. I have seen this myself growing up in the Vietnam war era. We might be seeing a lot more of this pushback in the years to come. I would not be surprised if this has already happened in the world.

They are basically one step above children, emotionally, their entire lives. They can do it if they are taught to do it. But they aren't. They have the 100% pussy pass for the first 15 years of their adult lives which shields them from responsibility. So they never learn...and are not being taught this by older women.

Feelings are of course not just ignorable, but my experience with women would lead me to believe that they don't seem to have a clear view of what is happening around them, only a wish to experience certain emotions in response. This may sound patronising & generalising at best, but it honestly is my best attempt to understand what I've encountered and how often my jaw almost dropped open observing how widely off the mark woman can be.

This actually reminds me of the story of when Darryl Davis met KKK grand high wizard. Jordan talks about the familiar territory in the form of ideals which makes sense. Because people tend to travel to new places whether your actively searching for them or not. Yet for the most part when you arrive you're very comfortable and not on edge. And hopefully I'm right in trying to understand what he is trying to say, but the reason you are alright is in general your surrounded by like minded people in this case they share your culture and general ideals so you know what offends them and what doesnt because generally what does or doesn't offend them is the same stuff that does or doesnt offend yourself. Therefore acting like your normal self is fine and you feel safe despite being in a totally different environment your not use to. Which leads me back to the story of the Klan wizard and Darryl Davis. Davis is very much use to motels and hotels because he is a traveling musician and the Klan leader goes all around the country to give speeches on his racist view of the world so he is also use to hotels and motels. Which is where this meeting took place. They debated and argued over which ideology was right then all of a sudden a quick random noise echoes through the room. Both are sure the other one made that noise. Darryl jumps up smacking the table ready to tackle the kkk leader, the leader is ready to sick his body guard on Davis. Confusion fills the room until they find out neither of them made the noise. The cooler full of ice holding the soda at the end of the room did. Then they all laughed. The cooler making this noise is common, I have went to many gatherings and parties that had that sound and it would be loud enough for people to hear yet at most they would just look at the direction of the sound but most just ignored it. The reason why these two reacted so strongly despite being in a familiar setting is they are across from a person who does not operate with the same ideals therefore you have no idea what they are capable of or what sets them off. Like the example he gave of the mentally ill person and how functioning members of society would actively keep their distance from people like that.

Who determines status? Nameless, faceless people who are clinically insane. As a man we're always told what to do or what to be, but not how to do or how to be...It's set up. Mr. Peterson is a very smart and educated man who has done nothing important in his life. Case in point, I work armed security and am considered 'low status'. However, high status males need me to protect them from thugs, because they don't know how to.. The servant may become the master. Now this is how to gain status. Live life your way. Get hobbies you like, exercise so you can project an image of power, strength and good health, take the protein powders too. Read books that teach you things, I like 19th Century Russian lit. You don't have too. Dress sharp, in a manner the projects an authentic image of 'I'm here and I'm the man!' Remember women are taught the same values as a prostitutes live so who cares what they think. Do what I do, here's a real life example. I'm in my mid-forties, I'm jogging down the street and get hit on by young stuff. The conversation ended like this 'Scott I'm sure you're a nice guy but as a security guard you'll never have enough money to support me or the two kids I already have...end quote'. My high status answer? Quote 'How much money to you charge for a 'B....Job?' as I kept on jogging.

I am an angry low status man, women feel it and reject me no matter how I try to hide it or even change it, and to the wise words told in the video I want to add this: it is sad, painful and depressing. People should care more about how we "low status males" feel, actually what most people (especially women) do is simply ignoring us and pretend we do not exist, but this does not help at all, because we DO exist, we do have desires, goals and ambitions like everyone else and probably very similar to the "high status men". Giving us no hope, Considering us unworthy and treating us as such (even if you do not tell it openly we still understand it) will just increase our pain, frustration and I think that is a natural consequence that among many of us low status men, some who experience this will go crazy and look for revenge, becoming criminals. Treat us with respect, which also means not rejecting us, and you will do us and possibly yourself a favor. If you ara a girl and you are reading this you have probably rejected many men and you probably did not care much, but consider this... Imagine that "low status beta male" was your Brother and you knew about him rejected every time, how would you feel about it?

although I aggree, low status while seeing the fruits of other people success of course makes anyone angry and builds a deep hatred and fury. No doubt about it. In which point I dont agree with Peterson, or maybe even more his male followers, is that you need success/social prestige to have women like you, have interest in you. For me, this point about success and getting women is presenten way to one-sided here. of course, if you are successful, if you become somewhat wealthy, its way easier getting women, no doubt about it. But it almost sounds like, its near impossible to get a decent girlfriend if you are taxi driver, pizza baker. delivery man, everyday office joe and so on. And that is simply not true. People focus way too much on this materialistic aspect, and the women that will throw at you once you have success, should be handled with scepticism. Of course there are people with everday jobs that have girlfriends, and also decent girlfriends, and somtiems even really beautiful girlfriends. Its more about if oyu are a good, responsible, likable, trustworthy person. I mean people fall in love, click and so on. On the other hand you have successful guys, who just arent good with women, maybe arent likable even, not charming etc. and still wont have much luck with women. You can have charming, good looking, funny guys who just know how to speak with women and seduce them., and dont have a good job, maybe not even a good life overall.
@Captain_MonsterFart6 жыл бұрын
I agree. And then there's different ways of "getting" women. Some guys have a real knack for one night stands, but does that really count for anything? I've had various boyfriends in my life, and none of them have been investment bankers. Some were even welfare bums in my younger years. I'd go for a trustworthy responsible taxi driver before some alpha male throwing money around any day.
@pocnit6 жыл бұрын
Polite Q Well, this is the gap I always see with this type of thinking, and this is a reply to both comments above: the obvious question here is, if you're trustworthy, responsible, hardworking, charismatic, funny or otherwise have great traits and principles, WHY aren't you succesful? It's almost like a self-defeating idea, how can you be so great if you can't provide anything of value to the community around you? There's a reason why these guys are ex-boyfriends, perhaps they were welfare bums but you saw potential in them. Potential that perhaps at some point you realized would never be put to good use, and you moved on. Also, nobody said you can't get a girlfriend working in McDonalds. It's just that many guys who are low status(read:pretty useless) delude themselves into thinking that they'll get a smoking hot, intelligent, funny, sociable and feminine woman. Not unlike fat women with short blue hair who dream about charming 6'4 men who are "ambitious and know what they want to do with their lives". Sometimes you might get lucky, be a bum and get an amazing girlfriend for an year or two, but it was never going to last.

very true. to all the other guys talking about "results" and "rising to the top" and "being successfull" - there are only so many "succesfull places" in society. its all relative. not everyone can be a top-earner. if you are rattling on about making big money and success and that that is the only way to get good women i have to simply guess that you are a real-life "loser" type or at least not very good with women. just take a step outside and look at REALITY: mating, mens and womens decisions in their sex- and love-life is very random. and nearly EVERYONE has a good amount of CHANCE and POTENTIAL if he is a relatively stable person. you dont have to be rich or "succesfull" in the economical way. just have some passion about something, anything really. LIVE DAMMIT.

The problem today is that we base a man's value almost entirely on his ability to acquire and have sex with females. Important traits most likely to profit humankind more like morality, intelligence, virtue, compassion, innovation and resourcefulness get tossed to the wayside. It is a very alarming revelation of society when we value a person's good looks (which in most cases takes no effort or discipline to achieve) over something like intelligence (leads to creation of ideas/inventions), compassion (strengthens communities), or morality (provides a code of conduct, a foundation for any strong society).

Here's my response to all of Jordan Peterson's 'Dominance Hierarchy,' and 'Low Status,' talk: I have a small business. One of my client's pays me to do a specific set of things. I am the lowest person in any meeting that I attend with anyone from that company. If I am in a meeting with a janitor, the janitor is above me. They are all above me on their dominance hierarchy. The nature of the contract is that I have 1 hour long meeting per week with one person from the company and usually devote about 12 hours a week to the contract. I earn about $80,000 - $100,000 a year from that contract. It's one of about 5 that I have. So - should I be upset that I am low man on their totem pole? Or, should they all be upset that relatively speaking, I earn more than virtually everyone I deal with at that company for the time I devote to them, I have control over those earnings (they ask for more, I charge more, they have less to do, I go find work elsewhere) and their PERCEPTION of our relationship means fu&k all to me? I'll happily take the 100 grand a year for roughly one day a week of work and they can think whatever the hell they like about their hierarchies and if someone wants to posture and give me crap, things can take more or less time depending.
@jamesdi72614 жыл бұрын
Really good point! That's when reading the comments gets benefits.... However, in your case, you realize that your business model gives you eventually a social status higher than "everyone in the room".
@thebiowatchlist2 жыл бұрын
@@jamesdi7261 So it has been a year and I find myself at a previous comment I made....my point is that I will never be 'the boss,' at my customer's company. I will always be low man on their totem pole and they will always remind me of it. This last year I had a contract with a company where my team outnumbered the customer's entire department size (I have 6 people working for me and their department had 3 people). They still treat me like the low man on their totem. I earned more in 1 week than many of them earned in 3 months - just on that project. My point is that 'status,' is a social thing and it is perception. Getting angry about perception is silly. I know a lot of people who THINK they are top of the pyramid when in reality that's just their thinking. Peterson is saying here that acting according to a person's position gets them what they want in a dominance hierarchy. Here's the thing - hierarchies cannot live alone. That group of people needs other groups of people. In a way, I am a low status male and that's all I'll ever be. But I earn a lot of money and don't do much and really don't answer to anyone. So what does that mean?
@jamesdi72612 жыл бұрын
@@thebiowatchlist I think you're right. And It think it means that you kinda always realize your status in this current dominance hierarchy, and it's how hormones in the blood work. Your mind explains yourself why it is okay, e.g. it is how you survive, how you get your benefits, how you get more money. Still it's just hormones, it's how everyone feels in the current people's structure. It's not good, or bad, it's just how the system works. Having this formula in your blood, and maybe putting money out of the equation, in other situation you would probably act/adapt in the same way, explaining yourself how you get your "better benefits", more food, or more free time, or better safety perception. In contrary, there are people full of dominance, you get it once they enter the same room, and they don't have no "contracts" and no "better benefits", they need to god damn dominate whatever it means for their perception.
@thebiowatchlist2 жыл бұрын
@@jamesdi7261 "explaining yourself how you get your "better benefits", more food, or more free time, or better safety perception." If dominance is about something other than resources (food, money, time, safety) then it's just your personal feelings. Are your feelings that important to you? You are mixing it up. You feel better in a better position because the better position leads to resources which is what is needed for survival. It's biology. Better position equals feeling better. My point is that I have more resources, money, food and safety than most of the people I deal with, I am financially independent, a business owner and I am low status in their hierarchies. I feel GREAT about it. They feel great about their perceived status but have fewer resources. Which of us has aligned their feelings closer to the reality of the situation? They lose their job they panic. I have no job to lose. The takeaway from this is that we do not live in nature where being the most aggressive person leads to controlling the most resources. Being the pushy guy who lords over everyone in every room you walk into isn't the thing to do in this environment. If you've ever dealt with prisoners and police, they are very dominant. You can feel it. One group is locked up and the other makes minimum wage and works for everyone. Prisoners and cops are virtual slaves in my world. You gain power in this world by supporting transactions. That's it. Steve Jobs didn't create jobs - he created transactions. Transactions lead to jobs and wealth and resources. I never saw a hierarchy. Never cared about it. Disregarded what I was told mattered or how I should feel bad for not being the 'man,' in every woman's eyes. So what? Do your feelings really matter that much? Jordan Peterson is talking about an environment that doesn't really exist after high school. Maybe early college. Some people grow up and realize that this world is filled with traps. Jordan Peterson is teaching something, but what? Ask yourself that. By his description I am a low status, angry, creative male. I also haven't reported to a boss in 6 years, have a little shy of a million in the bank and another million in intellectual property and a passive income (get paid this for doing nothing) of at least 7000 a month plus what I earn actually putting effort into the business (usually between $16000 and $55000 a month). And I am the sweetest, nicest, person you ever could meet and under 50. And I started with nothing. And I am going to Europe for 3 months next years just because I feel like it....I don't 'dominate,' anyone. I facilitate transactions for my customers and they pay me for it. Maybe Jordan Peterson's trap is to get you to NOT realize that what really matters is the VOLUNTARY TRANSACTION and not dominating others. He is trying to keep you thinking like a 14 year old because they are so easy to control.

what's so fascinating about jordan is that what he points out should actually be crystal clear given one is willing to not lie to him-/herself - however what the reaction to what he says impressively shows is that people will actually fight in order to maintain the lies they tell themselfs! and in part it's actually understandable because: if you would admit that you had to recalibrate your own compass it probably meant that you had to admit that you have to give up parts of your current identity - and boy will people become aggressive if they get challenged over that! (and i'm not counting myself out of that btw - but i try to work myself through that)

You can't increase IQ, but premature births are a leading cause. More research on preventing premature births is needed, and educating young people how pregnancies in chaotic situations are more likely to result in premature births and a low IQ baby Most young people have no idea how serious prematurity is and don't realize getting pregnant in an unstable relationship without a stable job is much more likely to result in complications that lead to a low IQ

Yeah, just from common sense I could see the mothers stress, anxiety, anger and depression at her situation would affect a baby in her womb. It'd be drastically different from a relaxed, peaceful and happy mother.

According to the last study on causality of human deaths in 1979 2.8million deaths can be directly attributed to systemic violence due to inherent competitive inequities of hierachical capitalism.

The Tao says, "as long as tbere is competition there will be no peace or tranquility" Lao Tszu Eqaulity is in 3 things amongst us all. 1. Birth miracle 2 life 3 death The only eqaulity man is capable of and is still not in control of.

Craig MacGillicutty MacGillicutty love that shit...how Gladts Lipshitts lol. Man is in control of absolutely nothing. Pretty simple. To me it seems the Tao is always reasserting theory that control is a fools errand. The beauty of life is just that. We never know whats coming next. Mastery to me means like I live without care of tge herds acceptance or acknowledgement. I stand alone as do all of my works. When my task is complete I move on. That is mastery i am happy when a project is complete to my standards and though it may be admired by my customers the monetary aspect is merely for my survival in this irresponsible, childult society. I am in competitiom.with no one not even myself. It brings me the utmost joy, and satisfaction, then its on to the next.

The point is that as a statesman or leader, you can encourage people to be more competitive, or more peaceful. The amount of social disparity matches the amount of social angst.

John Stockwell Major Smedley Butler I like the cut of your jib. Absolutely we need to get away from the profound fallacy that the financial hierarchy we have established in the post industrial world is a meritocracy or run in any way fairly. Certainly many ancient philosophers made fair comments, and many of the 18th and 19th century schemes such as free markets and free enterprise, government by social democracy "by the people for the people" are no longer directly prohibited... but it would be very incorrect to suggest that they are actually the status quo, globally.

Weareallbeingwatched For sure humanity has no use for hierarchy, govts, wall street, banking cartels or any other trickery. Small community orgs of 150 or less. I am quite positive we know how best to spend our monies.
