I love what Dr. Peterson said about breaking goals down into small incremental steps. When I have faced seemingly insurmountable tasks, simply writing down the goal and by repeatedly reading the goal I set, I have been surprised by the progress I have made. It's almost as if writing a goal and reading it stores the thought in the brain and after a few hours the brain subconsciously works on that goal whilst focusing on other tasks.

In my case it was dad who did the shaming, berating and confidence destroying. It's been a long uphill struggle to clear up the damage he created

It was my mom for me. It took me awhile to try to understand her and forgive her for it. Set boundaries with her and had to take risks and face my fears on my own to overcome all that.
