Still blows my mind that the Mainstream media tries to destroy this man. He’s filled with so much greatness. Then again, Jesus was condemned by public opinion too (not saying Dr Peterson is equal to Jesus)

Sure he says some good things. But nothing that has never been said before. There has been great minds all throughout history. You only need to pick up a book and read them. The only difference being is that Peterson knows psychology and how to get attention onto himself. Since you are starting to enlighten yourself, may I suggest taking a look at Dr. Wayne Dyer. A very humble man who has helped countless people. I think you'd like it.

@@anamericanman It is true that strength in many forms is integrally, the main attraction, women have for men. However, women have to and will always accept a level of fragility because after all it's only human. All that Jordon means by this, is limitation. When you love someone you tell them the truths others avoid telling them because they seek to use that person instead of caring about their evolution and growth even if that means risking making them angry. True love fosters a safe space where anger can be expressed without fear of being abandoned or being rejected.

It’s better to destroy them at once than to give them another opportunity to ruin you. The price of it is you don’t get to think yourself as a merciful person but the upside is you protect yourself and your family.

I loved someone once before. I mean... I really, really loved him. Mentally, Physically, Emotionally, Psychologically, even Spiritually it was all wrong but, I loved him anyway. But then you have to ask yourself... "How do you know it was love and not something else?" Well... The answer would be.... "I don't know". Thus, as a first step, I had to define love. Something some of the greatest Thinkers, Philosophers, Poets, Writers, and even Scientists have been trying to do for centuries, even longer. So how could I, a simple man, define something undefinable? It is not like trying to define the Infinity of the Cosmos? What is "Infinite"? Something without an end, the common mind would reason. But what does that mean? "Having no end". Endless! Without limits, or borders, or fences, or walls, or anything that divides and sets limits... Endless. What is to Love? What is Endless? What is Infinite? Concepts, one would say. But that is too broad of an answer. Concepts are abstract. Abstract is good, you could say. Abstract is also Infinite. But we don't live in Infinite terms. We have schedules, and planners, and we program our lives, our daily activities, and we do it daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. Those are limits. We can't avoid them because we ourselves are Finite. So we don't really know what Infinite is. And that makes it impossible to define Love. I can tell you why I loved my friend. His name was Alexandre. I loved him because he made me feel good about myself. Because being with him was being happy, feeling as if the Infinite Universe had somehow conspired, unbeknownst to us, to me, to him. But a simpler way of saying it would be to say that I loved him because he was always happy. Because he was pure, and innocent. Because every time he had something to say, he made it easier for me to listen, and to understand what he was saying. Because he always said what he meant, and always had the best intention regarding his opinions. Because the way he looked at me, and the way I could, sometimes, see myself reflected in his huge dilated pupils. I could see my smile in his eyes. Because every time we were together time went by too fast, and when apart, time crawled like molasses. It was hard to be apart. It was hard having to wait. It was hard to imagine life without him. To imagine myself being, without being with him. So... "What do you do when you love someone?" You hurry! You hurry every second of every hour of everyday because you know that soon, the moment will come when you will be together. So first you hurry, and they you hope. And them you hope that the time you are together, is Infinite. You hope it never ends. And you don't build walls, or fences, or dig an abyss, unless the abyss is also an Infinite Abyss, and you hope to fall together into it. That is what you do. Anyway... Enough talking.

Yes, learn the truth and speak the truth to the best of your ability - and make the world a better place, with each of your actions. I really make efforts to live according to that advice, and I am immensely grateful for JBP to spread it so effectively to the young generation of our times. I feel he is the greatest possible ally, though we might have some differing opinions, but that is superficial. First task: fix myself and strive to be the best possible version of me, next task: let me give support to others for doing their share in making the world a better place - not to be envious, jealous, but the opposite: generous. Third task: speak my truth and let my actions speak louder than my words, and make the world a better place. Fourth task: it is in my power to educate myself about what the planet and humanity need to be a better place, safer place, kinder place, with more good order, better opportunities to make a positive impact, and more freedom of choice for everyone. Don't you agree when you notice how learned JBP is, how he shares is knowledge freely, and how much he cares about those who despair.

I dont disagree with Jordan, I think he's right in his own way, but i am a pessimist, Maybe I just haven't seen enough darkness to understand the light, but I've seen an awful lot of darkness, and I kept wondering when I'd see the light at the end of the tunnel, but I realized after while of wondering around blindly that, I AM THE LIGHT, no ones coming to save me from the darkness, I have to light my own path. And some people will try to convince you that their little shimmer of light will help you through this darkness, but they dont want out, they just enjoy impressing people with the little bit of light that they have, and they say "noooo, dont go forward, stay here a little longer, in the darkness, I have enough light to sit here and be content...you won't make it on your own." And this has held me back from everything positive that I want in life... I'm not a pessimist because of the dark, im a pessimist because of what I see in the light... lucifer, the angel of light, will try to convince you to stay put, or follow him, I will do neither, and if it means wondering around in the darkness for 20 more years than so be it.

You’re absolutely right. No one is coming to save you. We live in a dehumanized world. People react very selfishly to just about everything. Those of us that do genuinely care about the wellbeing of others are stuck in seemingly endless cycles of betrayal and pain. This is the modern struggle; navigating through a frivolous time with no big bad to push us to greatness. No reward is greater than knowing you became a good person through willpower and conscious effort, rather than being called to by some external force.

Regardless of what nasty comments may say about Jordan Peterson I think the fact he openly speaks about Jesus Christ is commendable and he is a great man with an intelligent and interesting mind

I agree. A lot of what he speaks about is just plain biblical sense. I love the Bible and I enjoy listening to JP, he can turn the diamond of scripture to everyday principles like interpreting Solomon's wisdom in the book of Proverbs to everyday lives. He's not saying anything new. There is nothing new under the sun. I love how he basically explains and points out the giant elephants often seen but ignored in todays society. It's fascinating!

Watching this after watching videos about the unspeakable evil of Unit 731 during WW2. This man is giving literally the most positive message of all time and people in this comment section still find ways to hate, downplay, or criticize him. This man is a hero, if you spend your time trying to downplay him instead of being grateful that the dude is trying his best to save humanity from itself, all I can say is I'm extremely grateful I'm not you and don't have your life. Because something must've went terribly wrong.

From the book … The Mother Tongue … English and How It Got That Way … Author bill Bryson. … At a conference of sociologists in 1977, love was defined as “the cognitive-affective state characterized by intrusive and obsessive fantasizing concerning reciprocity of amorant feelings by the object of the amorance.”

I'm not a Christian, but I love the Bible. There is so much wisdom contained there. I take much of what it says to heart and practice in my daily life. I don't "pray" for anyone, I believe that is "code" when people say they will pray for you. They mean that they aren't going to do squat for you, but they'll ask God to help you. No, if you need help, I'll actually help you. I think that's what Jesus was trying to teach people. Wouldn't that be a great world to live in?
@kellenfletcher7177
@kellenfletcher7177 3 жыл бұрын
I disagree. When A Christian prays it is an acknowledgement of power beyond the perception and capabilities of rationality and skill. It is the will of one being put to use in a divine manner in order to have a supernatural impact on the event in question.
