When I started practicing fasting I noticed this and was able to gain so much will power by suppressing my appetite. Im able to recognize my irritability before it gets out of hand. It’s given me so much more self control of my emotions when I controlled my appetite. It helped me stop all my bad habits I had intended to stop.

It's metaphorical for having a certain understanding of certain knowledge. It's not an actual fruit it's a certain understanding according to ancient knowledge

Tell the truth and live with dignity, see where it gets you. Do the opposite, lie and decieve and manipulate people, then see where that gets you in life. You won't get away with anything. But your odds are better if you're honest.

Depends on in what context you're looking at it. From a religious/existential perspective you could argue that evil, even if it seems to be rewarded short term, get's it's punishment later, after death. And from an objective perspective that also seems be the case. Its hard to answer without knowing what exact type of evil you're thinking of but in my experience even if someone get's away with a few things, as the other comment already said, in most cases it doesn't last forever and sooner or later their live ends up horrible. While most honest and genuine people in most cases have a better and healthier live, more and better friends/better partners etc.

The mistake in saying good vs evil is that it is like comparing apples and oranges. It is good vs bad and holy vs evil. This good vs evil allows for society to bad without holy retribution. You've lost your taste for citric acid and you consume amino acids. A stark reminder to achieve the status of Iron man and his empire.

@@nanuthedogvlog3885 if the apple was bad, it would be thrown out. Instead it is rotten and fermenting, evil waits for you to consume the spirit. But knowing bad from evil could have prevented the fermentation process.

Feeling v Emotion Its so much more simpler than you think. Jordan. Blessings. 🙏♾️❤️ Principle v Value "Marvelousness is simply afoot." 🐝♾️❤️ Imagination v Fantasy F + O = E F = Feeling O = Opinions / Beliefs E = Emotions Order v Control Feeling = Truth/Order Emotions = Sin/Chaos P. S... You were correct, when you say, it's only data. 😜🤗❤️ Feeling Good v Bad Emotion Blue Pill : I'm an emotional hue who man/woman. 🖤 Humanity Red Pill : I am a Man or Woman with feelings. ❤️ Mankind Mankind v Humanity There truly is no such thing as a positive emotion. One cannot arrive at truth through intellectual processes alone. Most of what Mr. Peterson is saying here is incorrect. The fruit on the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil was simply fruit, that's all: simply fruit. What it represented, however, was disobedience. Partaking of it, disobedience, removed Adam and Eve from Paradise and they did, indeed, eventually die, as God said they would. In disobeying, they also removed themselves from having a more intimate, profound relationship with God all their lives, and all the blessings that entails. Intellectual pride is the number one tool Satan uses against us, as it is where he failed. He couldn't stand the idea he would have to serve intellectually inferior, puny human beings who had no real spiritual power, as did (and still do) he and all other angels. In the flesh, humans are not as intellectually as lofty as the angels; this is why Satan rebelled. The thought of 'making one wise' is what drew Eve to eat of the tree, and thus, justification for our sinning was set in motion, being disobedient was set in motion, rebellion was set in motion, and so we continue on this vein to this day. Jesus Christ is our only hope, truly. Praise God he sent his Son to atone for our sins. Amen and Praise the Lord!

While I definitely agree with your first sentence I think there's more to the fruit than just a fruit. I don't think there was an actual fruit and an actual tree and an actual talking snake, I think those are metaphors either ancient primitive humans came up with to teach others a very complex topic God was telling them or God himself decided to tell people the story in metaphors, using fruits and trees since that's what they were familiar with so they would unterstand what he means, just like Jesus used metaphors and parables all the time. Therefore I think it is important to think about what the fruit and the tree of knowledge of good and evil and the tree of live actually stood for and what precisely happened to humans after they ate it (it apparently did make them smarter and more like God, since that's what God said himself), so it apparently wasn't just a bad thing, there seems to be a deeper meaning in the story behind "they at a regular fruit and got punished for it". Otherwise the story would just say that and not call it the fruit/tree of knowledge of good and evil and tree of live.

Where parents fail in raising their children lies a lot in how they fail to satisfy the intellectual hunger that their children demonstrate. And they grow up with vast curiosities about themselves and the world around them, and they leave their homes, enter colleges and universities and the work environment, and they're exposed to people who give them new perspectives and possible answers. They're told that they don't know enough, but they can be shown new ways to be happy and find a purpose in what's new and different. And now we have parents wondering why their children failed to inherit their values. Well, they have a gay son who was consistently told that he cannot sin, and he leaves home, finds a community of others who have been ostracized, and realize that there's freedom out there and he does not have to denounce himself over something that others have experienced. He's not cursed to sin, but just one of many of those who are different. And that same son throws his body away, because there's no reservation. He was born to a value system that denounces his identity, and he returns the favor on the extreme end. And his parents failed to moderate it for him, because even the mere suggestion of being gay is tossed aside.

Thanks for honoring free speech. The word "evil" stems from religious hyperbole ... suggesting that a devil exists to lead weakened souls to commit evil. I doubt that Jordan was taught by his psychology professors to use that word "evil." “I was Jordan Peterson’s strongest supporter. Now I think he’s dangerous. He wanted to establish a church, he said, in which he would preach every Sunday.” Author … Bernard Schiff … professor emeritus of psychology at the University of Toronto.

What is he even talking about? I've about had it with this man pretending to be an expert in a book HE DOES NOT BELIEVE! This is not meant to be a metaphor. These are real trees that existed in real time in the real world. Adam and Eve were real people who ate a real fruit from a real tree. Cease with this philosophical gibberish and take the Bible as it was meant by God to be taken!
