Here’s some fun synchronistic symbolism: We know Bethlehem means 'house of bread' in Hebrew, but in Aramaic it translates to 'house of meat.' Symbolically, this means Jesus was born in the 'house of flesh'-the body-a fitting place for God to enter into humanity and for Christ to be born within all of us. From there, you can play with the idea that the 'house of bread' transforms into the 'house of meat,' much like bread becomes body in the Eucharist. It’s a beautiful symbolic reflection of incarnation and transformation.

I spent the last weekend in the Gospels series, following the example of Our Lord who went into a quiet place to rest a while and reconnect to God. And the seminars are absolutely making my Advent this year. I’ve found myself worn out and needed the spiritual renewal and refreshment of Advent, and the Gospels series became to me the vehicle of grace my heart needed. I felt though that I was in conversation with dear old friends as I did often found myself wanting to share bits and pieces I knew from those years of Bible study on my own and in my little corner of Christendom. It was a sacred, holy time, a precious gift. Blessed Christmas.

Had to chime in immediately after the passages were read... But by listening to the narrative and identifying keywords that stand out in my consciousness, and somehow making those statements applicable to myself in a nearly incomprehensible manner, I picked up on a metaphor at the end. Referring to Christ, as a baby, swaddled in clothes and in a manger. There exists a Christ-like light within all of us. "Swaddled in clothes" would be in relation to the way we protectively cover ourselves with the personality traits we develop (or "put on") as we grow into adulthood... And I immediately drew a connection of the "manger" with that of a mangy dog. Which in my mind, is a direct representation of the world as we will ultimately come to see it through any degree of exposure to the ways in which it operates. It is, in fact, a dirty world... Anyway, the point is that Christ's light resides within all of us from birth. And if we can manage to see His entire story through metaphor in a similar fashion, there will almost always be components present that remind us of something that sits at our very core. The story is about us. Jes-Us. He's Us.

@bruin4Christ29 минут бұрын
@ natural revelation is what you can learn by observation and deduction alone. This includes science, philosophy, history, psychology…of which Peterson is of a high caliber. But special revelation is information God gives. It’s the top down direction of Jacob’s ladder. Now once the Magi got hold of Hebrew sacred text they studied it with more vigor than the Jews (ironically). So interesting they found the Messiah, and the Israelite natives missed it. They even brought gold and frankincense because they knew Messiah would fulfill both offices of king and Priest! (Zech 6:13)

Careful attention to the tone of the Bible's language, viewed through time and the many translations, it becomes evident that various writers have inserted bits here and there, particularly trying to make the story of Jesus' birth and life accord with earlier prophetic writings in the Old testament. what seems truly significant about the birth story isn't talk of angels appearing, (what is an angel anyway?) but rather, the actions of people of good will , actions which protected the baby, making possible His adult life and teaching.

I cannot imagine the insanity that we (the world, and that’s a lot) would have and would be suffering through without Jordan Peterson. The pendulum started to swing the other way with the election of Trump and excising the woke tumor that took up much of our blood flow to the extent that the entire US Military focused on LGBT-INSANITY for recruiting (yes this really happened) resulting in a castrated force of eunuchs. Looks like the rest of the world is beginning to fall into the f-woke position which is gathering force to remove corrupt politicians, like Trudeau in Canada, and courts in North America abandoning the political persecution of Trump in the USA 🇺🇸 and our beloved JDP in Canada 🇨🇦; hopefully the West like 🇬🇧 UK and Australia 🇦🇺; to stop locking up people based on Facebook/ social media posts (as JDP predicted +/- 5 years ago would happen). We (the 🌍 world, and that’s a lot) are thankful JDP and his Iron / Steel immovable position; empowered by a lifetime studying every thing he could about totalitarian regimes, which all have in common their exploitation, murder, and hell on earth (for those few who survived (Aleksandr Isayevich Solzhenitsyn for example) and also in common a cumulative hundreds +/- millions exterminated lives. The JDP 1) predicted it, 2) personally, including his family!!) suffered through challenges and 3) circumstances that conspired against the Peterson clan and nearly killing our hero and his wife, and tormented his children, all of whom responded wonderfully, brilliantly, tactfully, intentionally, etc). So God Bless the Jordan Peterson clan, all of whom have their crown waiting for them in the House of Many Rooms ✝️

9:05 "it's the whole Bible that's for sure, I totally agree and some of that's associated with the glorification of the infant as a as a as a center of attention which is a proper center of attention." Is this because we all suffer the curse of forgetfulness? Having long forgotten the reality of infancy and the sensory feeling of lived-experience? Hence, we struggle to 'rationally' conceive the possibility of crucifying our experience developed mind, in order to resurrect our innate senses? Paying no attention, or simply unaware of insights into the human condition, like R. D. Laing's "we are all in post-hypnotic trance induced in early infancy?" The fantasy-of-knowing, inherent in human languages, regardless of place or race?

Always was GOD from all eternity, Who descended and took on flesh (incarnate). We (humans) do not have the same potential, making ourselves gods from a pre-existence! He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? John 10:30 “I and the Father are one.” John 8:56-59 “Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.” 57 So the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?” 58 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I AM, 59 Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him,…” ❤️✝️👑🎄
