One of the best reviews of this kind I've seen so far! Thank you. It's *very* helpful that it's not just a quick unboxing and first impressions, but a real indepth review over a longer period of time. Especially interesting that you even recorded your impressions over several months after your first oven got replaced. So we even could see if the customer service does a good job or not. You've used those 15 minutes very well. Every bit of information is worth watching. Subscribed! Greetings from Germany :)

With regards to the smoke and food smell coming out during cooking, would you say that it is pretty much the same as other airfyer/oven units? Meaning that the unit is not insulated from smoke/food smell during cooking if the door is not open? Also, what is the maximum size frozen pizza can we cook in this unit? Thank you.

There's a simple solution to keeping the oven clean. Line the inside with foil. I do this around the trays inside my convection fan oven and it's very effective as the trays are like new plus I've only had to refoil once in the last year
@retrotechandelectronics2 жыл бұрын
This works well for the bottom but does little for the splatter on the sides and rear
@theriac.2 жыл бұрын
@@retrotechandelectronics You obviously haven't tried it then. Several years ago I was having to temporarily use my convection oven in my microwave whilst my main oven was being repaired so I lined foil all around keeping the sides up with the two grill shelves and there wasn't a trace of a mark anywhere from daily use over a couple of months
@theriac.2 жыл бұрын
@mark dossett You need to ensure the foil stays up by using the insert trays. This is the difference between it working or not. I've never had a problem. It's always worked for me
@oilcoolman2 жыл бұрын
@@theriac. i would have to say you don't even have this oven . 1. Many manufacturers say specifically NOT to do this as it can become a fire and electrical Hazard. 2. Even if you were stupid enough to try, the racks and baskets are constantly being moved depending on cooking on this oven and would quickly tear up and dislodge the foil 3. This is an air fryer . It has a massive fan which blows very hard inside the whole oven and the risk of blowing a piece of foil over a vent is very real .. 4. Said giant fan circulates fat and grease and you cant cover the giant fan so the blades and vent obviously get covered in grease 5. Think before you comment.

Chemicals from China….

@@retrotechandelectronics I had no idea chemicals had nationalities. Seriously, what's the point of that detail?
@retrotechandelectronics2 жыл бұрын
@@space.youtube Yes, and i can see how excited you are to be offended by something on the internet, but the truth of the matter is the long standing existence of regulatory concerns of the usage and application of chemicals in products for food preparation and consumption in China, in this case for chemicals used for production that could be harmful to humans. For this reason extra care is taken to burn them off. Feel free to search google with such concerns in the Chinese food preparation chain. This concludes our conversation on the matter.
@space.youtube2 жыл бұрын
@@retrotechandelectronics You're projecting, and apparently lack the courage of your distorted convictions. Given the "before first use" procedure is clearly and boldly featured in the instruction manual, your claim of "concerns" and "google it" is laughable. Ninja literally go out of their way to inform the consumer that a clean and heat cycle is required before any food preparation takes place. This should go without saying given the different cleanliness standards employed in the "production/packaging" processes compared to kitchen food preparation. If you aren't washing ALL your food prep items after purchase, or need to be told to do so, "Chinese chemicals" aren't your problem, ignorance is. You have a nice day
@amartyn48502 жыл бұрын
I see you took the comment to be offensive. It is well known stuff made in China can be highly toxic, even down to products made for babies! There are cancer causing properties in these chemicals and I am glad this KZbinr made a point about it. And I am sure that if the product was made elsewhere he would have made the same comment about the chemicals. In fact if you look on Bird owner websites they are very concerned about what they use to cook with because fumes are given off each time the product is heated up and poisons the birds. Manufacturers are now starting to make a point of labeling cooking items as PFOA and PTFE free so that helps. It would be great if all manufacturers around the world made their stuff without that poisonous crap in it. P. S Good review... I'm still undecided about buying it because od trying to clean it, sounds like a faff!
