Not the carotid. Everyone’s wrong. We pass out yes but our heads would turn white if u cut off carotid. Our heads TURN RED not white. Therefore chokes are cutting off veins. There is too much blood in the head not too little. The veins get crushed so blood can’t leave Rte head. This causes a backup. Our heart beat pushed too much blood into our head so our head swells and turns red. The backup means no blood movement so no oxygen fed to brain. So we pass out. I know it’s hard to trust a random guy online over everyone else but they are wrong. Not me

Actually Bjj doesn’t have thag many moves, you can do basically the same techniques with different grips or different positions, but the theory is the same

Bro fr! You can ask 100 ppl about a head and arm choke and I feel like they all got their own little detail to add to it

Bonus tip, dont try to crawl your hands up near their armpit. Go near the elbow, think end of the lever

This works against people my size and the weight above but heavies i cant move the arm for the life of me

Also use your head to work their arm up.
@jacobday38263 ай бұрын
@@adamstannard7934yeah weight is a major factor. Your best chance is to set up early, when you're passing guard establish an underhook then enter mount. You can also look at John Danaher's armbar from mount video (free on KZbin), it addresses isolating an arm in mount.

can you please make a video on how to finish this choke and make other videos on details to finish other chokes because everychoke squeez technique is not the same and some of them are hard to finish so it would help a lot if you make a video like this

Could you please give me some advise for the ears? I dont have much time in jiu jitsu and i already have kind of coliflower ears. I see you dont have that much. I rest for a week cause its hurts and i dont want them like that but then as soon as i get back they get inflated again
@JordanTeachesJiujitsu Жыл бұрын
If they start getting sore just wear headgear until they're 100%. If you don't they'll flare up and keep getting worse. My right ear is pretty mangled but my left looks decent, but sticks out like a money lol

I've been watching tons of jiu jitsu content like this for the past two years. I tried drilling some of it with friends and family. Planning to join a real gym in two months and I wonder if all that knowledge will help me get to blue belt quicker or at least allow me to fool other beginners. Anyway my mind is made up.
@litdav8 ай бұрын
Hoping you already started. You are sounding like you want to win against others. Tip: Focus on winning against yourself from yesterday: Improve step by step. Of course, the goal of the sport is winning but be reminded, that unless you have a background in judo or wrestling, everyone that has been at the gym before you, will manhandle you from the beginning. And then, the guys that join after you, are you really getting much out of punishing them then?
@nostromo90818 ай бұрын
@@litdav I actually started two days after typing that. Doing great. I even switched up my strength training routine for BJJ. Improving each training. I also did have some minor wrestling background which helped a bit.

I thought the move is to have a smelly pit they will tap out before you even lock it in. I'm a total idiot in grappling don't trust me.
