mourinho offers what poch couldn't when it came to big games, a real sense of structure and understanding to the core use of his players. poch sometimes applied players to his philosophy incorrectly and mou is better at managing this at the highest level mourinho, whoever reading, the prem, sky sports, i need to arrange a 5 minute phone call with mou just to lay out some blue prints and ideals for him to consider. a proposal that if successful, he hires me up as his assistant, and he gets to manage a team capable of winning the prem and cl for at least 3 or so years consistently, top 4 or not this season what i have is a newly invented philosophy, and to go with it, set up that also applies to mourinho's game model of insisting generally. i don't and cannot see how mou wouldn't benefit from a 5 minute call for ideas ive been manifesting over a year now

@Chooey Sooares Ha! I couldn't disagree more. Jose is a boring anti football manager than only wins by neutralising other teams. As for the global brand, you are already that. You are now enjoying the Jose press bump, which will come with an unprecedented pressure as well and I'm curious to see if you will catch the wave of Liverpool and City falling back down in time before your team further ages and fades. I think it depends on if you have the bottle as a club and if Levy will actually come through with whatever transfers Jose demands. If one of those two falls through, you're in for a sour spell, my friend. For me, it's a mixed bag. Of all the rivals I can live with Spurs the most and I would say you deserve a league win finally. As for Jose, I want him to crash and burn and leave the prem for good. I don't see what people like about his football.

Jose said he is happy with the players he has inherited and the foundation that Poch built. Remember, Jose tried to acquire some of these players (Kane, Alderweireld, Sissoko, Moura, Dier, Rose). At Madrid, Jose flew to Brazil and met Moura's parents and took a trip to speak to Sissoko's family as well. I believe him when he say he is genuinely happy with the squad.

Much as I love Poch and the way he has transformed the entire club, I don't think he knew how to fix the current situation. Mourinho is a fantastic appointment: he brings an absolute wealth of experience at the highest level. I don't think he'll be the same manager that was sacked by Man Utd, simply because the problems he inherited there and was struggling to fix don't exist at Spurs. He's inherited a quality squad and a great set up from bottom to top. All he needs to do is concentrate on getting the best out of the players (with maybe a couple of additions), and he won't take any SH1t from those whose heads and hearts (and comments to the press) are elsewhere. Makes me feel much more confident for the rest of the season. Already looking forward to the East London Cup Final on Saturday with a reinvigorated team :D
