I love Joseph and I hope he gets 700 in the gym and soon in competition. However, he should start considering having 3 or 5 strong spotters when going for any RPE 8 - 10 lift with no safety bars. If that barbell slips off his hands he's dead, or if he tears a pectoralis/triceps he'll do more damage to it. There's no way the bar would be picked up quickly if one of the three happens. The spotter cannot deadlift 700 with one arm. (and with two arms, most likely.)

Not sure why we are considering this raw with the elbow wraps and the mat below both adding some assistance. For context my best bench with and without wraps are below. Raw: 485lbs at 210lbs body weight Elbow Wraps: 515lbs at 210lbs body weight Not sure what it would have been with a springy mat below me but I’m sure it would be more. That looks like a lot of additional support. Don’t get me wrong, Joe is an absolute freak and he has my upmost respect. I just don’t think we can consider this raw.
@Blackbullet_racing

Exactly, I'm sure when I experimented with it years ago I had around a 30lb increase with the wraps, I also paused that attempt tho so maybe could have gotten more up with a bounce. Just wish people would be honest about this stuff, it's far from raw.

Insane strength. My max is 140kg at around 170 to 175 pounds, age 51, super natty. Hoping to go past that soon. I don't know what i could do using that style, as i bring it down much slower and do a very light touch to the chest before pressing and never bounce it. Just too risky for me. Still amazing to see anybody handle that kind of weight.
