Being a former scout dad for 11 years, I find all of your camping videos and adventures cathartic. I am now in recovery from surgeries over the last 5 years that render me now unable to tent camp and hike. But I thank you for helping me remember how much fun it was!! Keep up the good "work!" (Btw, I live in Baton Rouge, La.)

With the lack of bushcrafting in this video, I realise I really like 2 kinds of camping videos. The first is where I learn stuff, and the second is where I vicariously go on an adventure, which this video does for me. Great video. Also, 5 people still remember the lighter.

The 'old guy' at the Brent store is Jake, he is a bit of Algonquin history in the form of a man, he was there when I worked for Algonquin Outfitters close to 30yrs ago and I think he had been there 20 or more years already. Actually a very interesting man. Anyway, thanks for sharing, I miss my days of tripping in Algonquin, not the guiding so much but personal trips are looked back upon fondly.

As always, I really enjoyed these videos Joe, both in terms of production value and the overall experience you had with Kyle. The hard work does not go unnoticed, nor does the candor. I was really waiting in anticipation of part 2, having backpacked in Algonquin at the same time as you guys, but for a shorter duration. For anyone doubting the one night you guys experienced the intense storm on the Tuesday, I can attest that it was certainly one spectacular dishing from mother nature. My absolute respect to both of you guys as it seemed like one amazing. albeit challenging experience!

Super awesome, both part 1 and 2 of this set you guys did, funny stuff as always but I will say as a fellow Canadian -- I have never been to Algonquin to see all this stuff people talk about.... nor have I watched life in a canoe perspective like this ever -- so this video was really good for me as a learning video for things plus we saw the Moose. Once again great video Joe... Never been to the Algonquin but it certainly gives me something to strive for. Haven't done an 8 day tour so the suggestions on food and beverage are certainly solid. I've done a 3 day here in NB and it was nice but depending on where you go it certainly depends on the time of year for water levels and bug population. Thanks for posting.
