I met my doppelganger once. At a bar I frequented, some random dude just starts talking to me like I know him. Another time, my friend said I was at the bar when I definitely wasn't. One day, I walk in and across the bar is a familiar looking face. I walked over and we both said "You're the guy that looks like me!". At some point later, I went to a party at his house nearby and freaked out all his friends. Also, he was a dentist at the office my sister went to, and her brain melted thinking that I was a secret dentist when she saw him working on a patient.

The one celeb I am often (I mean OFTEN) told I look like is Timothy Olyphant. There is a scene in the first or second episode of Santa Clarita Diet where he and I are total doppelgängers. Hair, glasses, same blue Izod shirt. Freaky seeing myself with Drew Barrymore.

I still don’t understand Lawrence Fishburne being mistaken for Sam Jackson. I died laughing when one sported the “I’m not Lawrence Fishburne“ T-shirt while the other showed the “I’m not Samuel Jackson” T-shirt.

There’s a similarity. Maybe when you see them in real life and they’re all scruffy, not made up to look picture perfect, it’s easier to mix them up.
